Le Royal Aubigny — Restaurant in Vierzon

Very disappointed and more so as one member of my family have been a loyal customer for years… The restaurant is managed by new owners and the service quality has gone down shockingly.

When we arrived we did not have a choice to the usual table, despite the fact that my relative who come there often likes to sit at a certain table which was free at the time. She voiced her preference but it was quickly brushed off by the waiter (caucasian guy).

My aperitif (the house-made aperitif) was not chilled and it wasn’t really tasty like it used to be.

The main dish I chose was a seafood dish (calamaris), the amount in the dish was ridiculously small. I was quite embarrassed, nevertheless I pointed it out to the waiter who did nothing and said it was absolutely normal. Even my family was shocked but they said nothing because they were embarrassed.

I did not find the waiter professional or at ease with the service. It seems he does not know how to provide great customer service.

I really missed the high service quality my family and I were used to with the previous owners.

Vandaag een hapje wezen eten bij het Aziatische restaurant Le Royal Aubigny. Eigenlijk thuis allemaal wel gek op Aziatisch eten. Dit restaurant stond goed beoordeeld. Het was vandaag een feestdag. Restaurant zat goed vol. Bij binnenkomst, netjes ontvangen en geleid naar een mooi gedecoreerde tafel. Prijzen voor het drinken zijn prima. Liter water €5, frisdrank €3,50. Wij kozen voor twee maal het kinder menu (zie foto) en een 2 persoons voorgerecht plus nog twee warme gerechten met kantonese rijst erbij. Kindermenu was goed. Ruime hoeveelheid en lekker op smaak. De voorgerechten waren ook allemaal individueel goed en als we het daarbij hadden gehouden, had het 5 sterren gekregen. Alleen de twee extra warme gerechten vielen wat tegen. Rundvlees op een hete plaat en de gambas op een hete plaat. Alles netjes op gegeten maar vonden het niet super.

Al met al wel lekker gegeten en mocht je van Aziatische eten houden en in de buurt zijn, zeker de moeite waard!

Service 3 sterren, personeel was wat afstandelijk en ondanks dat we gewoon netjes fooi gaven, kon er moeizaam een dankjewel vanaf en geen tot ziens of vaarwel. Minpuntje, iets wat met een glimlach en wat enthousiasme zomaar totaal anders...

Surprisingly good Chinese where you'd least expect it. We passed just by chance on our way driving back to Paris. We'd eaten French food all weekend and were happy for break (both culinary and budgtary).
