Joyless and rude, with mediocre food. Avoid this tourist trap We pre-booked for lunch. It was busy but not heaving. First issue was when we arrived. No greeting. I told a server that we had a reservation (in French, naturellement). Dismissive shake of the head. From that point it was downhill: never brought menus to us, so we were unaware of the daily ‘formule’ tagliatelle with Roquefort now not available despite tagliatelle and Roquefort sauce both featuring on the menu (and being available a week previously) one person ordered steak and also frites. Server didn’t bother to say that the steak came with frites so we ended up with double frites when the food was delivered (without a smile) it was only delivered to one side of the table. God forbid that the server should walk round to the other side to put the dishes on the table confit duck had been put into the fryer rather than under the grill, so tasted of stale frying oil frites were cooked in oil that was too cool so were oily and soft, not crispy zero offering for vegans. Literally just veg crudités and nothing else (of course they could have fried mushrooms and garlic in olive oil and put it on bread. But that would have meant they cared) ironically, one order of crudités was forgotten on the plus side the onglette steak was perfectly cooked

Whatever the opposite of hospitality is, this is it....

Got a fizzy drink with dirt and an insect in it, which I didn’t see at first and drunk half… when I noticed it, I was disgusted and asked the waiter to take it away, without asking to bring a new one. He then brought back another glass half full of the same drink, this glass dirty too. No words…

To your response: yes, I came all the way for holidays in France just to make lies about a glass of lemonade 🤦🏻‍♀️ Maybe if you bothered to check the glass when I sent it back, you’d see the dirt in it.

Another attitude is to either not say anything, or say sorry and try to make sure you follow better hygiene in...

Male staff member was rude. I went inside to pay as I was instructed to by the waitress and he was behind the bar on his phone, he saw me standing there waiting and continued his conversation. Another person then walked in with their empty glasses wanting refills.. he made us both then wait and once he decided to serve (whilst still on his phone) he went straight for the other guy even though I'd been waiting already.

They also have their food menu out but not doing any food.

Customers dog was barking at everyone (...
