La mine — Restaurant in Villeneuve-sur-Lot

I stopped for lunch. I was recommended to order the veal, plate of the day. When it came it was a small bowl of fat & potatoes. There was no meat at all. I could not eat large pieces of pure fat so my lunch was 3 potatoes. I pointed out that I now have to go & buy food as I am as hungry as when I sat down. The waiter agreed with me but the boss did not care. It was not worth the 70c that I paid to park the car nearby. Worst meal I have ever had in France....

A very casual restaurant for a quick meal. Very friendly service and the meal was verry tasty. I had the salmon lasagna and my wife had the "entrecôte". Je viens de Belgique et depuis mars nous avons acheté une 2ème maison près de Villeneuve-sur-Lot, qui serait au départ une maison de vacances, mais j'y vis de manière quasi permanente et dès que j'en ai l'occasion, je vais souvent déjeuner à La mine, où la nourriture est vraiment savoureuse. Buffet d'entrées et plat principal à un prix vraiment très démocratique, pour lequel vous ne pouvez pas cuisiner nous-même. Leur service est toujours très amical et, surtout le patron qui s'assure toujours que lorsque je fais une réservation, j'ai définitivement une bonne place facile pour ma fauteuil roulant et, jamais j'as eu aucun une problème pour conduire dans le restaurant ou aller aux toilettes, plein d'espace.
