Zum goldenen Löwen — Restaurant in Annweiler am Trifels

Unfortunately, we waited for our order for an hour and a half. By that time, the people who came and placed orders much later than us had already finished their dishes and received the bill (and there were about 10 or 12 people). It seemed that they forgot about our orders and started quickly preparing them after our reminder 40 minutes later. And after that, we waited another 40 minutes to finally get our dishes. We also had to wait a long time for the bill. My turkey breast was very tough, and the pineapples on it were sweet as for a cake, the dishes of my family were also not very tasty. I give only 1 star to the place for the spoiled impressions of the weekend + 1 star deserved by the delicious lemonade...

We were a group of 5 adults and 4 kids, a relatively huge group. When we arrive, the restaurant was half full and more people walked in as we were seated. That said, the service was friendly and heartfelt. The children were served first and then the adults, very well thought off. Food is fresh and prepared from the heart. So homely and so delicious. nach unserem gestrigen Ausflug nach Annweiler, wollten wir den Tag mit einem Abendessen abschließen. Wir haben dieses Restaurant gewählt und wurden definitiv NICHT enttäuscht !! schon alle vorherigen Rezensionen haben verraten "dort muss es richtig gut sein" und JA, es war unfassbar gut. Wirklich schon sehr lange nicht mehr so lecker und bodenständig gegessen. Dieser Koch kann verdammt gut kochen ;-) Ich finde immer das man an der Soße des Beilagensalates direkt merkt ob da jemand sein Handwerk versteht oder eher nicht. Und ja, die Salatsoße war hervorragend. Wir hatten zum Hauptgang das Grumbeerpfännel (Bratkartoffeln, Blut- und Leberwurst), die Burg Dreifaltigkeit (Schweinemedallions, Pilze, Bratensoße und Kroketten), Metaxaschnitzel (paniertes Schnitzel vom Schwein mit einer Metaxasoße und überbacken mit Pommes) und ein Elsässer Schnitzel (paniertes Schnitzel vom Schwein mit Creme Fraische, Speck und Zwiebeln dazu Pommes) Alles durchweg grandios. Fleisch zart, Bratensoße aus Knochen gezogen, knusprige Pommes - was will man mehr?! Jetzt noch kurz zum Wirt - was ein "cooler Typ", super freundlich, lustig, zuvorkommend. Ohne das unsere Tochter nach einem Dessert gefragt hat, ist er los, aus dem Lokal raus, über die Straße zur Eisdiele und hat ihr einfach mal auf gut Glück 2 Kugeln Eis gebracht - da war die Freude natürlich riesig. Kurzum, ein super Lokal und wir werden nicht das letzte Mal dort...
