Heiling's Gastronomie in der Mineraltherme — Restaurant in Böblingen

We've been coming to the Thermalbad for over 10 years now, and the restaurant back in the days was quite ok. Not anymore. The food is horrible, not fresh and I have a feeling it get worse and more and more expensive. Last week we had mashed potatoes that were not edible, with sour-molded note. On the border on food poisoning hazard. In the SPA! Flatbread - half baked, french fries - cold. It has become almost a rule, that we need to send back at least 1 dish when we eat there. The soup that costs over 7euro doesn't come with a bread anymore, the bread is now sold extra @1euro. Also the soup portion got at least 25% smaller. Meat was chewy, goulash soup was cold and disgusting, salty and with tons of glutamat (maggi). It's so sad, because it used to be a place where you can spend all day, relax and eat a hearty, yummy food. The menu and the quality of food (lack of quality actually) doesn't align with the concept of the place. I really hope the restaurant will change the management and the food will finally improve....

We came late for dinner with no reservation around 8.20pm. It was full but the friendly staff still gave us a table of 3. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food what can I say more? It was Perfect with a capital P. Never had roast deer this good before, it was so tender it melt in my mouth. Everything we order taste so good. The veggie soup, potato soup, the beef broth with the Flammkuchen and the salad they all taste soooo good. Every bite we took we feel this how food supposed to taste. They’re not even rushed us out even tough it’s closing time. What a good service! We will come again and try the variety...

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und des beworbenen Konzepts ( regional, schwäbisch, qualitativ hochwertig ) haben wir heute dieses Restaurant besucht. Insgesamt wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Das Restaurant ist eher schlicht eingerichtet. Ein durchgängiger Stil ist nicht zu erkennen,. Gemütlichkeit kommt kaum auf. Umso mehr freuten wir uns auf das Essen. Bestellt haben wir den Rostbraten mit Bratkartoffeln und Jägerschnitzel vom Schwein mit Spätzle. Tja, was soll ich sagen,...während der Rostbraten noch ganz ok, aber nicht besonders war, war das Jägerschnitzel eine Katastrophe....zumindest für meinen Geschmack. Die beiden Fleischstücke haben tatsächlich die berühmt-berüchtigte Schuhsohle repräsentiert - hart, zäh, "zu Tode" gebraten (oder aufgewärmt?). Die Spätzle ohne Biss und Geschmack, und die Jägersosse bestand aus einem hellem Brei, der eher an Bechamel erinnerte. Zudem hätte ich bei diesem Preis auch frische Pilze erwartet. Service war nett und sympatisch, hätte aber etwas aufmerksamer sein können. Offenbar ist es aber der einen oder anderen Mitarbeiterin wichtiger, die Weihnachtsservietten fütr die nächsten Tage zu falten, als sich nach dem Befinden der Kunden zu erkundigen. Fazit: Geschmäcker sind unterschiedlich, und das ist auch gut so. Unser Geschmack war es definitiv nicht! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt einfach nicht. Für das gleiche Geld gibt es in Böblingen und der Region Besseres!...
