Afro-Base Interl. Kitchen Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

Fit for everyday feast, and made for a bigger come together or celebration.

I was like, do they even do Nigerian food in Berlin? I mean must have, it's a large town isn't it? A place or two were disappointing for some reasons, then this Afro-Base.

First of all, the greeting is delightful. And the way people there feel like a family together, taking you in as a stranger but welcoming to an extent.

Then the food. And the drinks, a little touch but so warming on this winter day. Unbelievably sweet, thank you thank you.

Wish the owner all the best, and should get much of good custom from the local people, from diaspora and from odd folks from the outside once in a while.

Now to the food. I like Egusi, and yet I still don't know how good it should be. The one I got at Afro-Base was probably +20% better than at home in London. Taste is strong, hot but mild, and lots of soup, and lots of yam too.

Combined with the atmosphere, music, welcoming — total is amazing start of my December 31 and New Year eve celebration. Happy New Year to Afro-Base, and to the Nigerian folks all over the world....

The woman who owns this place is omg too rude. She really needs to learn how to talk to people.

Just a simple question about how long it would take to get my order while I have been seated for up to 20 minutes+ this woman went ballistic about other people who have been here before me that are yet to be served. Like, you are the server, you get to determine how long it takes, so just tell me if its 30minutes or 1 hour or a whole day. She takes things too personal and it seems like any question that does not sit well with her is seen as a personal attack.

The only possible reason why this woman is still in business is because her customers are Nigerians who are used to bad service and some fraction are friends or pals who know her from afro parties in berlin..

There's no way anyone who talk to customers like this will remain in business if cusomers are...

Honestly the most horrible African restaurant in Berlin. I kid you not. First of all, the food is not that great. And the service is HORRENDOUS. The owner is very rude, along with her servers. They have no regard or respect or even common decency and etiquette towards customers. They will literally disrespect you right to your face, as if you're not the one keeping them in business. Kindly avoid this restaurant at all cost, for your own safety and self respect. The woman pictured in these images is the worst of them all.

All the positive reviews are fake and usually fabricated by their own affiliates. Don't believe it.

Please avoid this restaurant AT ALL COST & thank me later. I'd give it ZERO STARS but...
