Bäckerei & Konditorei Nicolai — Restaurant in Berlin

The service is horrible. Whoever the guy is acts like you are bothering him by ordering food and eating there. We tried to speak German and be polite but he just seemed annoyed and uptight. The food is not bad. I would come back which we did multiple times as it was decent and a good price but it is nothing to write your mother about. The terrace is great and he has weird customers which are fun to watch. Overall place and food was ok but the guys attitude was off putting and makes you feel uncomfortable...

Schön abgelegene Bäckerei, mal was anderes als die Ketten. Kann man mal machen, wenn man in Berlin ist, dachte ich mir. Im Laden roch es komisch, irgendwie muffig. Aber da bin ich tolerant. Wurde nett bedient und hab wenig bezahlt für zimtschnecke & 2 Berliner. Habe sie später erst probiert. Und was soll ich sagen? Ich hätte den ersten Bissen am liebsten gleich wieder ausgespuckt. Dass es nur Hefeteig mit einer dicken Schicht Zuckerguss war und wirklich null nach Zimt geschmeckt hat, geschenkt. Es schmeckte so, wie es in dem Laden roch, nur intensiver - muffig-ecklig, wie Bei Oma unter den Achseln. Definitiv das schlechteste Gebäck, was ich je probiert habe. Mutmaßlich ein Fall fürs Gesundheitsamt. Ich habe jetzt diese Gebäckreste über und werde sie entsorgen. Immerhin ein einmaliges Erlebnis, was ich noch lange mit dieser Stadt verbinden werde.
