The setting and food are stellar. Your visiting experience will likely be most dependant on your server.

We reserved a few days ahead. Called to say we would be 5 min late and the reply was 'we don't have a table reserved for you, but you can come anyway'.

Once there, the waiter asked if we were ready. As we hadn't yet decided on the meal, we asked to order drinks.

'Oh I can't do that, the kitchen is closing soon, you have to order all at once.' It was 18:40.

After waiting for the server to show up again, another walked by and asked if we had been served yet. He said we'd have to move for him to take our order. We did, and ended up with a nicer view. And, he asked what we wanted to drink.

In the end we had a great view, great food and great service, but to could have easily gone...

First things first, it has a beautiful view to the lake. Over than the view, it didn’t have much to impress me.

The food wasn’t bad but it didn’t worth what it costed (or maybe I don’t have a German taste). I have been twice and honestly, it is not the restaurant I would return because of the food, I went again because of the beautiful view and experience of eating in the middle of the forest.

If you are a tourist in a budget, I would not recommend it, make a sandwich and eat next the the lake, it pretty much the same. But if money is not a problem, go and have the experience of eating next to the beautiful...

Firstly , this establishment is located in the beautiful woods of Wannsee, from which you can view the lake and the The Pfaueninsel Palace. The restaurant has a lot of seating area both indoors and outdoors( which is nice when the weather is good). Reservations are encouraged in order to get good space to seat. The staff that attended to me and my friend was quite weird and cold , also quite irritating to be honest. Hence I am giving 4 stars . The food here is Amazing, 100% German cuisine and it was tasty , well made and well presented. It’s worth every dime they charge. Will definitely come here again 🥂

In A Nutshell: -Blockhaus Nikolskoe is a terrific place where locals enjoy eating some authentic German fare. -Located next to the Havel River is this standalone, two-building restaurant. -You'll enjoy a very rustic German decor as you sit at your table. -During Christmas season, you'll see some decorations on the table setting. -I really enjoyed the Green Bier (sweet tasting German beer) to help w/ my awesome Wildbratwurste w/ Sauerkraut. -The service was really friendly too, even you don't speak much German. Overall, if you have wheels I suggest driving over here for a nice authentic meal.

great view. Recommend to walk around the peacock island first then come for lunch. Be sure u book a table before u go on the tour to secure the best view seats. Ordered the potato balls with beef stew which was awesome. The resling house wine was not so great... I should have gotten a beer instead. The german pizza was really good. Crispy, thin, light, with good cheese but bacon were too salty for me. They r also pet friendly with provided pet water. Overall expereince is great.
