Italian restaurant? It's way too much said. Carbonara with cream and ham. Lol Caprese with rucola, tasteless tomatoes, green olives and balsamic glaze. I asked for basil but they didn't have it. Double lol Prosciutto con melone - basically Schwarzwälder Schinken instead of prosciutto crudo or at least cotto was served on a huge plate. The "meat was just randomly thrown over the pieces of melone. And it was served with pieces of butter (?) Why? Aperol Spritz had no spritz, no bubbles no gas and also was bland. And that lemon in it. Again why? Italian food is simple and tasty. Overdoing it is just stupid and unnecessary. There are so many much better Italian restaurants around Berlin. This one is not...
Read moreThis is only our 2nd visit here is as many weeks, but we are so far very impressed. The staff are very friendly, remembered us, and seem to take COVID safety seriously.
The food has been amazing both times. We've had Moz Cap salad, Spaghetti Bolognese, Lasagna and a Salmon pasta dish. All of it was incredible. And yes, the Tiramisu is also phenomenal!
Also, and this is just a picky thing for me...coffee in Berlin often is terrible. People set their machines too hot and burn the beans most of the time. Not here, though. The coffee here should be standard, but considering the lowered standards in Berlin, the coffee here is great!

They are mostly older regulars from the area who like to eat dinner at 6 p.m. On a Saturday at 8 p.m. the restaurant is perhaps only 1/4 full. The menu has probably not been changed since 1980, apart from the prices. The food (pizza & pasta) is disappointing, especially after a 30-minute wait. Conclusion: if you want to go to an Italian restaurant with your grandparents, this is the place for you.
