Wirtshaus zum Dorfwirt — Restaurant in Blaichach

We visited Blaichach this August and this place was recommended by our Airbnb host. The ambiance was very welcoming and the place is pretty big and spacious. The regulars table (Stammtisch) seemed to give the place a seal of local approval!

We ordered the Grillpfanne with 5 or 6 different grilled meats, a stuffed pasta in tomato sauce, and schnitzel from the kids menu. The taste was great. The server was friendly and the service was surprisingly fast given the size of the place and the number of people. I wonder if the service is the same during peak skiing season.

The only negative in our visit was that a lady on the next tabke was cross with us when our 2 year old baby was banged the spoon on the table! But that has nothing to do with the restaurant, apart from that our experience was simply great. If visiting Blaichach, then this is a place not...

This place was amazing. The food was very high quality (try the homemade pumpkin seed oil) for a reasonable price. The service was fast and kind and the atmosphere is super nice. Wir haben kurzfristig noch einen Tisch reserviert und wurden herzlich begrüßt. Das Ambiente ist eine leichte Fusion zwischen urigen, holzgetäfeltem Wirtshaus und modernen Elementen, speziell im Außenbereich und immer wieder in der Architektur eingestreut. Das Innere ist in kleinere Räume aufgeteilt, was einem schnell eine behagliche Hüttenatmosphäre gibt.

Der Service war stets bemüht unsere Wünsche erfüllen, bis auf eine etwas längere Wartezeit zum Anfang, waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Die Getränkeauswahl war sehr ordentlich, neben dem ortsüblich gutem Bier, möchte ich den Limetten Spritz hervorheben, ein gut gebalanceter Aperitif. Besonders der Hauptgang konnte uns sehr überzeugen, speziell die regional ausgelegten Gerichte sind hier zu empfehlen. Die Medaillons vom Reh waren wunderbar medium angebraten und harmonieren perfekt mit der Holunderjus. Auch die Dessertkarte wusste zu gefallen, neben regionalen Schmankerln findet man auch selten gewordene Klassiker wie Birne Helene.
