I wanted to know, what the L'Osteria hype was all about and since they recently opened here in Brunnthal, I decided to treat myself and get a pizza for take away.

Called them and ordered a pizza, one of the split ones where you get one style on each side, for takeaway at a specific time an hour ahead over the phone. When I arrived there at said time, it took then about 4 minutes until somebody came to take my payment. Then I was pointed to the waiting area, where another staff member looked at what I ordered, which was not done yet. And not done yet in this case meant not even started. Since the waiting area is directly in front of their open kitchen, I could then watch them prepare and make the entire pizza, while I was waiting well over 10 minutes, despite ordering ahead of time.

Since I wasn't in any particular hurry, I wasn't too bothered by this at the time and was looking forward to having my pizza in the end. At home I opened the box and was greeted by the most unattractive pizza I probably laid my eyes upon so far. Toppings were pretty much non existent, scattered very sparcely over the dough, few leaves of rocket, few small slices of sausage, probably 1/5 was toppings with the rest being the most thin layer of sauce and some very bland cheese. The picture speaks for itself.

Next time I'll go to the local Italian restaurant again, where the pizza is not "really big", which is what L'Osteria prides themselves on, but is smaller and has nice toppings, which actually cover a pizza, which is prepared with care and not a slapped together wheel of dough, devoid...

SLOPPY HORRIBLE SERVICE! I have been at L'Osteria Brunnthal 2 times and both time I have had horrible service experience. The waiter and waitress were rude both the time. First time I thought that the waitress might be having a rough day, so I thought to go there 2nd time but 2nd time also I faced the same rudeness from a waiter. First time I went there in afternoon. Only a few tables were occupied, rest of it was empty so I walked casually till the main entrance and waited for someone to come. A waitress came and I asked her for a table. She literally refused to reply and said that I must stand before the podium which was like 5-6 steps in front of the main door then only she can offer a table. I went to the podium and asked again for a couch table as I had 2 years old sleeping baby. To my surprise, she asked where is the baby, I called my wife who was holding him and showed him to her. Second time, I received a cola which had no fizz in it. When I informed the waiter about it, he replied "this is what we have and he can't do anything about it" rudely and walked away. Had he said this kindly, I'd not have bothered about it. Not only this incident, the waiter was not kind throughout the service. I have been to other L'Osteria, this has been the worst experience I have ever had. The service here in Brunnthal...

I am not normally someone who posts bad reviews but this is just unacceptable. I have to say eating at the restaurant you don't really come accross any problems.

Here is what I was not happy with: I ordered 2 times pizza to go at the restaurant before I left the place but on different days.

The first time I ordered pizza caprese which is basically pizza mozarella with tomatos and basilikum. I got home to open a big magherita pizza with no basilikum and one kirschtomate. I was honestly shocked by the sight of it. I admit that I could have opened to see if the order was correct before I was leaving but shouldn't we also trust the restaurant to get one not so complicated pizza right.

Then on the second time they did get my order right. I ordered a pizza with 2 different sides. One with caprese and one with vegeteriano.

On the vegeteriano side they didn't scather the ruccola more like just threw a bunch of it on one spot. For the pizza caprese was the mozzarela still in the shape of not being fully melted as if you have just taken the mozzareala out of the fridge. Meaning they probably haven't putten the pizza long enough for it to melt.

Hereby I just wanted to address the issue of the to go being very lacking in comparison of eating at the restaurant.

I hope for the restaurant to do...

Had a wonderful Ruccola Pizza at L‘Osteria. I am truly amazed how L‘Osteria re-invented the Ruccola Pizza by dipping it in some oil so that it is dripping in your hands. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I recommend everyone who loves oil with a little bit of Pizza to visit this L‘Osteria store. The waiting time of 1.5 hours for the Pizza after rush hour time (22:00 order) just proved that unique experience. I guess the not answering on any phone call for 60 minutes is a result of the phone dropping out of the hands from all employees as they were busy with having oily fingers from all of the Pizza preparation - I understand that. Thank you for nothing - please do avoid that place!!!

I ordered a pizza from here via their website, to be delivered to my home. Firstly, the pizza arrived 15 minutes late. Then, to our shock, when opening the pizza we found all of the toppings had fallen off the pizza and were stuck in the corner of the box. The toppings were greasy enough to wet the cardboard box and leak through onto the bench top surface. We then called the pizzeria and explained this issue. They said they would send us a new pizza, but after two hours of waiting it never arrived, which inspired me to write this review instead. It's really a shame that they could operate so poorly. I am very unimpressed and won't be ordering with Losteria delivery again.
