Burgschänke, Restaurant & Hotel — Restaurant in Burgthann

The hotel us about 20-30 minutes from the center of nürnberg city. A little offsides behind a castle wall in town. We picked this hotel because we were visiting a family there in the neighboring town. There is limited parking especially when the local people dine in the restaurant. Our 2 grandma's with us had problems going up the stairs to the rooms. ||The hidden surprise is that upon arrival by check in i thought hmm...the style. How will the rooms be? Small,dark,oak german furniture. No...very modern. Actually like the picture on the website. Very spacious and clean. Not all website pictures from hotels tell the truth.this was good. No amenities in the room so bring your shampoo, soap, creams etc. I guess because it is a 3 star hotel.||||The breakfast had a cold cut buffet, musli and a bread sortiment. The coffee was good too but the tea was not. Very, very weak. The waitress was friendly. I ordered fried eggs and a boiled egg at no extra cost.||||all in all it was a quiet, pleasant stay. Since 9 years I spend my "Germany vacation" at the Panorama-Gasthof and was NEVER disappointed. Perfect service and nice, nice people from the owner to the waiters/waitresses to the room service.||AND then the food...OMG it is so delicious...starting with the breakfast buffet to the lunch....and then dinner. The selection is so wonderful that one has a problem making a decision what to eat.The rooms are so cozy and very clean and "mine" has a panoramic view to the valley. I can highly recommend this...
