As close to original North Indian cuisine, as it can be.
If people of Saxony intend to experience authentic North Indian cuisine, then this place is the best in Saxony (in my opinion; after exploring Leipzig, Dresden & Chemnitz). In last six months of knowing this place, I have visited it multiple times and got food home-delivered also.
Pros: Service with charm, and dynamism. Unique experimentations with food, which come out amazing. Chaat, an Indian snack, requires complex proportion of spices - sweet, salty and chilli. This place knows how to get it right. Butter Naan, a commonly available bread in North India, but never easily available in Saxony. This place serves actual original Butter Naan. Each dish carries it's original flavor profile. The base flavor of a paneer dish will not be same as that of a different vegetarian or chicken dish. Most restaurants keep common flavor profile, but not here. Ambience is nice. It's not dull. It's not too bright. It's not glossy to take away focus from food.
Cons: In December 2023, me and some friends witnessed delays in order execution. This was at different occasions in that one month. Probably due to some changes that this place might have been undergoing. They don't serve Daal. Atleast, Daal Tadka and Daal Makkhani should be on their menu.
Good & Bad: Chai comes with little extra milk and little extra sugar. I prefer less milk and very little optimum sugar, just to lift up the flavors of tea. But I acknowledge that there is 50-50 opinion amongst people on the milk proportion in the tea.
Overall, I will definitely recommend this place for a great North Indian experience. I hope that this restaurant does everything to maintain its consistency, and not deteriorate. It is one thing to perform best, and quite another to keep performing at the best continually.
As of this time, I have been enjoying...
