Landgasthaus & Hotel zur Krone — Restaurant in Dahner Felsenland

We were looking for 2 rooms for the night in the Dahl area and the few hotels we found we large, expensive business hotels with pools, spas etc. We just wanted somewhere ok to crash out.||After asking several helpful locals, we were directed to Bundenthal - a small village. This lead us to the Krone. It was a real find. We got 2 large double rooms in an annexe out the back of the pub/restaurant.||Check out the photos. large, clean and modern. Decent sized tv too. some tables and chairs outside too, to take in the late sunshine. When we visited, the restaurant was closed for a private booking. We decided that instead of eating in an expensive local restaurant, we'd go to the supermarket that we'd passed on the way into the village and pick something up from there. By coincidence, there was a mobile fried chicken unit in the car park at the supermarket, so we had chicken, beers and other bits from the supermarket. A cheap but satisfying night.||The double rooms were about 35 euro per person (including breakfast). According to the website they have several different sizes of rooms and an apartment for up to 6 people. There was quite a large beer garden with lots of tables (had it been open) and a play area. It seemed to be the heart of the community.||Breakfast was served upstairs in the pub. a large room with a good spread of food. The usual fare of bread, rolls, slices of cheese and meat, eggs etc. Really nice.||It looks like it's popular with motorbikers (as we are) and if you stay in the annexe, you can park the bike literally outside your window. Liebevoll geführter Familienbetrieb der Landgasthof liegt in einem kleinen Ort von welchem aus Radtouren und Wanderungen starten können. Ferner bietet der Ort einen Bäcker, Metzger und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Der Gasthof hat Zimmer im Haupthaus die wir nicht gesehen haben diese sind zur Straße hin und dadurch dass es an der Hauptstraße liegt wahrscheinlich etwas lauter. Wir hatten ein Zimmer hinter dem Gasthof in einem separaten Haus im ersten Stock Zimmer Nummer 5. Dieses Zimmer war schön groß geräumig. Das Bad war neu gerichtet mit einem Fön und Kosmetikartikel ferner mit viel Ablagemöglichkeiten und einem Fenster. Der Schlafraum bietet einen großen Bauernschrank und rechts und links vom Bett jeweils ein kleines Schränkchen. Es ist einfach eingerichtet und hat zusätzlich einen kleinen Tisch mit 2 Korbssessel. Dieses Zimmer hat einen sehr großer Balkon ebenfalls mit Sitzmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und wird als Buffet angeboten. Es gibt eigentlich alles was man möchte und wenn etwas fehlt wird es auch gebracht. Rührei frisch auf Wunsch zubereitet. Der Gasthof bietet nur abends Essen. Er hat eine kleine übersichtliche Karte aber super leckeres Essen. Wir haben verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert und alles war immer lecker und frisch. Wir waren auch in anderen Gaststätten aber im Landgasthof Krone hat uns das Essen so super lecker geschmeckt dass wir nirgends anders hin wollten. Die Gaststätte ist einfach aber unheimlich gemütlich eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Am Gasthof selber gibt es einen Biergarten. Dieser liegt zwischen Haupthaus und dem zweiten Haus. Teilweise überdacht. Optisch sieht es aus als ob es ein Eingang oder ein Voraum von einem Stall etc gewesen wäre. die Bestuhlung ist wie in einer Launge und es sind Heizpilze jetzt im Winter aufgestellt. An die Adventsfreitagen wurde ein kleiner Weihnachtsmarkt veranstaltet. Hier waren sehr viel Einheimische und es war eine tolle Stimmung. Angeboten wurde Dinge aus eigener Herstellung und warme sowie kalte Getränke sowie Kleinigkeiten zum Essen. Live Musik gab es auch. Für Kinder gibt es einen eigenen Spielplatz. Auch für Parkmöglichkeiten ist gesorgt . WLAN ist kostenlos. Wir haben uns in unserem kurzen Urlaub sehr wohl gefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen dadurch können wir den Gasthof zu 100% empfehlen.
