Veritas Restaurant — Restaurant in Ettlingen

Nice restaurant where we had a quiet and pleasant meal.

The food was pretty good and my steak was cooked as I like it. It's not a pizza and pasta restaurant, but the selection was good and well presented/cooked.

The atmosphere was good, it's a fairly open space and the tables are not too close to each other which allows for pleasant conversation to take place.

The 10 minutes walk from the town centre was also really nice before and then after our meal, it seemed just about the right length.

I'm not sure what parking is like, as we walked. The area seemed quiet.

I think I know pretty well all the restaurants in Ettlingen, and so far this is definitely my favourite, my top on the list. And believe me, find place for dinner here is not that easy without a reservation. The place inside does not have many tables, but is absolutely nice and cozy. During warm season they have a nice and big space outside, a quiet garden, that will make the dinner even more special. I have tried many of their specialities, and I was always impressed for the quality of food and the nice aspect and decorations of the dishes. Starters was great, main course was okay. Staff was terrible, probably my bad luck or their bad luck that they have lost their customers. None of us at the table (15 people) would go there again.. Primarily because the staff focused so much that they did everything perfectly right.. that they didn't even bother to listen or agree to the problem. Worse : service lady walked by and passed on again nasty comment on us( supposedly their customers) at that moment.... Had it not been with my colleagues, i would have asked her to spell "customer service". Hope it was a one-off and no one else goes through the same...
