Awful experience, the staff persons working this morning 13.07.2025 are very rude unfriendly and unpolite, also unnecessary aggressive. What could have been handled as a normal calm conversation became a very frustrating experience with a level of tension that was absolutely not justified by the degree of the situation. I bought a pretzel this morning to eat in, served on a ceramic plate. Arrived at the table I realised that the item was fridge cold only by touching it by hand. Therefore I went back to the counter to politely ask to warm it up a bit. The first woman refused to heat up my pretzel, saying in a rude manner that the sandwich grill they use at the counter is available only for sandwiches. The item was fridge cold and hard, absolutely impossible to eat it straight away without discomfort. Accepting the denial of the first person, I went on to the second staff person, the same that took my order and without any complain I politely asked for a paper bag to take away my (very cold!) pretzel. She refused to give me the paper bag, started rolling her eyes back, saying loud and in a very nervous tone that I did order it to eat in and that I was not authorised to get a simple standard bakery paper bag, even if i paid an extra for a service (the eat in) that I could not receive it because of the temperature of the item sold. Are we serious? I found her overreaction plainly offensive. I work in hospitality and gastronomy since 20years internationally and I doubt that the staff ever got a basic training in customer care. The shop being it inside a station it is absolutely relevant to acknowledge that customers are people who travel and are informed about commercial establishments in other places and countries. What made the whole experience even worse, to the point of frankly doubting the competence of the staff in service, the same person that took my order took my cash payment without making any receipt, just dropped the coin in the Kasse ignoring any legal procedure of printing invoice and giving it to the customer. Are we in Germany in 2025? Did not felt like that at all. What a disappointment to witness how the lack of care and basic politeness of some people of the staff casts a very bad light on the company. We ordered three pastries, a pretzel, two large cappuccinos, and two sandwiches for a total of approximately €22, intending to take the pastries and coffee to go, but dine in with the sandwiches while caring for our 12-month-old child.

However, a misunderstanding about our dining intentions led to a frustrating encounter. When we sat down to eat the sandwiches, we were abruptly approached by staff and informed—rather harshly—that we had not ‘paid to eat at a table.’ The tone and manner in which we were addressed were unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive, which detracted from what could have been a simple conversation to clarify any confusion.

The experience reflects a broader issue mentioned in other negative reviews: a complete lack of customer service. If the establishment has specific policies regarding dining in versus takeout, they should be communicated more effectively at the time of ordering to avoid such misunderstandings. The only place open at 6 am on a Saturday at the station. I've ordered tea to drink in, paid less than 3 EUR, received a standard glass of hot water, eko-teabag in a sealed packet and a spoon on a ceramic saucer.

The two ladies at the counter were very nice and welcoming, cultivating a warm atmosphere while they were clearly working hard in these early hours of the day, serving seated clients as well as takeouts very efficiently.

The table space is clean and well kept. Good distance between the tables so you're not cramped and it's easy to maneuver even with large suitcases.
