Golden Wok — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Looking for an all you can eat where they welcome you with a smile, the food is deliciously served and fresh enough you don’t actually gag? This place ain’t it.

You get what you pay for. Which in itself is a hit or miss. From what I can see the place has been through worse times but still … The state it’s in is terrible.

First and foremost. The parking is absolute trash. There’s just not enough space to accommodate more than a dozen cars. Leading to broken English arguments between us hillbillies and local giant suv owners.

The staff. In a nutshell. They are Literally all over the place and overwhelmed being due to being understaffed. Not only weren’t we guided properly to a nice place to sit upon entry. But the staff simply left us to figure it out for ourselves and said “yea over there is good”. Where is there? Show your customer where. Be a proper host and welcome them to your restaurant you donut!

The food (which is not as abundant as these bought reviews made it seem) looked absolutely rancid. The non marinade chicken looked slimy, the marinated chicken looked and tasted like it came from Lidl, the duck was overcooked and the new batch was then undercooked (frozen foods?), the seafoods and beef were exposed too room temperature, the vegetables were so and so, the dessert was just low effort and tasted funky.

The place claims to be child friendly. I didn’t know the city park was part of the restaurant. Taking the parking into account and the neighbourhood. I don’t see how it is deemed as such. But more power to you!

Good luck getting in with a wheelchair. Up the stairs you go. There’s no easy way in.

I’ve been to plenty all you can eat restaurants which I’ve revisited, this one will be the...

Zero star. Period. The food is obviously cheap and unhealthy. The service is very rude! (especially the lady at the reception)...and the man behind the grill/wok.

Cooking/frying/grilling foods, it is the WORST that we ever encountered in Frankfurt. The atmosphere isn't what we expected, and one of our friends found a piece of steel wool wire (photo attached) in the food, told the waitress and was told "it is the same as can be found in your home food too!!!"...smfh. Most of the foods were salty and unhealthy. The cook do not know how to fry the glass noodle, must be hired from a remote area. And the cook even scolded the customer for wanting the glass noodle to be fried. This kind of rude and poor service would ultimately lead to its fall. The fried chicken wings were half cooked (starting to have a discomfort stomach, bloody shxt). The amount of food available is not much and of low quality. Sushi??? What sushi!!!??? Fried foods available are fried with high amount of flour...yes, unhealthy! Highly recommended not to waste your money here on low quality & unhealthy foods. Will not return.

There are many better quality places...

There was no host at entrance. Cooked food is not that good at all, not enough flavor or spice, all very mellow...

Meat and fish to be cooked by chef was very very plain, no salt, no spices, no sauce nothing... So it was just a waste really.

Frozen items which you cook yourself, ones again, we were not shown where there spices and sauces were so they were basic...

Sushi were the worst I have ever eaten... Absolute disaster... Not fresh, smelly, soggy rice, no sashimi... Really really bad.

Ice cream and grapes were good.

Toilet is horrendous, dirty and smelly(male) that you cannot stand there.

By 10 staff started to clean everything and pack the food to take home which was odd... I would assume it would be done after everyone from customers would leave.

I asked chef to cook me meat with onions and mushrooms, and he was very rude, no specking English, saying to cook by myself in the hot pot which we had. I understand he already cleaned the job but still, it's your open hours, you cannot be upset if someone asks you to do your job...

I'd not recommend or ever come back.

I believe it is way overpriced for the quality...
