Yuan 缘来农家院餐厅 — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Honestly speaking, this is some of the best and most authentic Chinese food I've had in Frankfurt, if not in all of Germany. I truly loved the flavors and quality of the dishes. However, the dining experience was so disappointing that it might deter me from returning.

We drove two hours to Frankfurt specifically for this meal. We called ahead at 1 PM to let the restaurant know we’d arrive by 2:30 PM and offered to pre-order. They assured us we could dine, but reminded us their lunch break starts at 3 PM and asked us to eat promptly. We understood and respected this.

However, just as the clock struck 2:59 PM, a staff member came over and asked us to pack up our food immediately. After some back-and-forth, they begrudgingly gave us 8 more minutes to finish. We ended up taking the rest of our food to go, feeling rushed and unwelcome.

We respect the importance of the staff’s break, but if they were so strict about the timing, they shouldn’t have accepted our reservation or order in the first place. This felt unnecessarily rigid and, frankly, lacking in...

I will give one star because the waiter was nice. But the food was not good enough, they have a menu with a lot of options for grill but they only had lamb available, super greasy and it was still raw (I got sick from this). The soup was a whole pot for at least 6 persons, but it is not mentionend on the menu when we order (we were only 2). The place was crowded and they only had one waiter for all of us (more than 6 tables, our table was for 2 but all the other had more than 5 persons), so the attention was slow, my husband food came incomplete (we had to ask for the rice and the drinks again) and after 30 minutes or maybe more it came mine. We visited Yuan when we were in the round trip with our parents. honestly speaking, the food was delicious with a big amount. But when we were ordering, the owner kept on asking us to order drinks which we didn't want because we already ordered the soup. But eventually we ordered a pot of tea. My mother felt not happy and felt being pushed. According to our experience, we ordered too much and the owner didn't tell us that we might not be able to finish.
