Behringers Freizeit - Und Tagungshotel — Restaurant in Gößweinstein

I booked this hotel as I was travelling near to the area for a meeting in Erlangen the following morning. The hotel and staff were superb, as was the surrounding area. I was so impressed that I will probably bring my wife here for a long weekend. ||||On arrival at the hotel the very friendly receptionist told me breakfast started at 7:30, so I told her that I wouldn't be taking breakfast as I had to leave at 6:30. She then told me that she would call the chef to come in early - as I didn't want to cause any fuss I told her that this wouldn't be necessary, but I'm pretty sure that she called her anyway. When I went down at 6:30 all of the breakfast food was being layed out - and as usual with German breakfasts, it was excellent. ||||I had a single room in the hotel, which was very comfortable. TLDR; Poor value for money. Dirty toilet. Bed smaller than advertised.

I was hiking in the region and stayed one night at Behringer‘s. I booked with Booking.com and this was, at 75 EUR/night my most expensive stay of the trip. Even though the booking was for a twin bed I got a single bed in my room. The toilet was Al’s dirty and when taking a shower I wondered why the water pressure was so weak. So I unscrewed the shower head and found a plastic piece was installed to restrict the flow of water. The location is als too remote to reach Goßweinstein by foot. The feeling is that the place is trying to save on its guests, and that’s more than unfair as it is clearly not the cheapest option around and markets itself as a 3 star hotel.
