La Rosa — Restaurant in Gröbenzell

My wife and I are here to visit our son who recently moved to Gröbenzell. Who knew in Germany we would find Excellent Italian cuisine! The staff were tremendous, especially our waitress! I wish I remembered her name. If she reads this I am sure she will remember us. She was extremely patient with us as we struggled with the German language. Another thing that made this dinner so special is that the owner personally came to our table to chat and check in on how everything was both times we ate there. He is a true professional and a master of his craft! Thank you sir. Prices were very reasonable for this level of quality. We had an appetizer, drinks, dinner and dessert and it was very reasonable! Even if you are not in Gröbenzell, La Rosa is only steps from the train station so it is very easy to get to from anywhere. I also want to send a special thank you to Katerina and her mother for sharing with us there hidden gem in Gröbenzell! Thank you La Rosa and staff!!

Food - great, staff friendliness - awful. Is it too hard to give the menu right away, when you give a table? No, need to wait until another waiter brings it. "We have a system" Why not to take the food order together with the drinks? No, you have to wait, again. When asked to bring the soup and then salad earlier (because they obviously are cooked quicker, than the main dish, risotto) - again no, only everything together. Wir waren Donnerstags hier zu unserem Jahrestag. Wir waren lange nicht Essen ausser Haus, weil wir so häufig enttäuscht wurden. Da ich selbst nah am Stern koche muss ein Lokal allerdings auch was können... Hier ist das so: Ein wirklich freundlicher Kellner begrüßt uns, der Koch stellt uns neben der Speisekarte noch persönlich die Tafel mit den Tagesgerichten neben den Tisch und sagt gleich ehrlich was schon aus ist (eine Zeichen für frische Zutaten!!!). Wir hatten gemischte Vorspeisen (frisch und hausgemacht - nicht aus der konserve wie in München schon erlebt), ich hatte gegrillten Tintenfisch und meine Frau kalbsmedallions in weisswein-sauce. Zubereitung absolut perfekt - Essen kam heiß an den Tisch, die Teller aber so warm dass man sich nicht dran verbrennt. Der dazu gereichte pinot-grigio passte rundete das ganze sehr angenehm ab. Als Dessert gab es einen hausgemachten Schoko-käse-kuchen - mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben gut!! In dieses Lokal kann man gehen - hier wird man gut bedient, es wird ausgezeichnet und frisch gekocht. Alles mit der wichtigsten Zutat: Liebe!

Preise: wir hatten Vorspeise und Nachspeise geteilt, 2 standardgetränke und 2 Glas Wein und jeder ein Hauptgericht mit Beilage und haben knapp 80 Euro bezahlt was bei der gebotenen Qualität absolut in Ordnung ist!
