Chiemseefischer — Restaurant in Grabenstätt

Stayed here for a few nights. The staff in the morning is super friendly, in the evening not very nice, almost angry. The kitchen and dining room are very clean! The breakfast is a bit poor if you don’t eat pork. Dinner was good, except of the “steak” 3 persons tried it and we all could not chew it, it was really tough and it was around 27 euro, which was really a pity:( and the apple juice was mixed with water, which lost the nice taste of apple juice. About the hotel room, it was clean and nice, but the soap did not get refilled, there was no tiny fridge to keep your drinks or other things cold and it was next to the parking place, everybody could look into our room if we did not close the curtains, so this felt a bit weird, specially at night when the lights were on. One night somebody screamed into our window to ask if we ordered food, it was a delivery guy around 00:00 I got scared to death! The reception is many times empty, because it was very busy in the restaurant, and after 22:00 there is nobody if you need something.

Still one of the Boutique Hotels that I like the most in the Area. Amazing restaurants, friendly Receptionist English isn't the first language remember that. The owners are Lovely people that reflects their hospitality in the rooms and the welcoming. However they need to make sure to emphasize on a proper deep cleaning in the rooms bathroom. I have noticed lately some funny smells coming out. Indicating either the lack of proper deep cleaning in the Toilet area, or a piping issue. Second in the past we use to get this all purpose Cleaner in the bathroom so Incase a traveller didn't bring his/her shampoo or body wash they can still use this, however this time Feb 2025 there was none of...

Rückfahrt von Istrien. Nach 6 Stunden Fahrt Zeit für eine Pause in Grabenstätt am Chiemsee im Biergarten des Hotel-Restaurants Chiemseefischer mit Blick auf einen Seeausschnitt. Also, Biergärten im Sinne von mit alten Kastanien schattig geschützten Gärten haben in Bayern Tradition und sind fast überall zu finden. Leider nicht so hier. Den Schatten müssen 3 x 3 Meter große beige Schirme spenden, an Bäumen mangelt es. Bedient wird von zwei Herren. Der eine, etwa 25 Jahre alt, mürrisch, auf schnelle Bestellung bedacht, kein Lächeln, kein überflüssiges Wort, kein Blickkontakt. Der andere, Anfang 60, leutseelig, überaus höflich und geduldig abwartend bei der Bestellung, bayerischer Dialekt, zu einem fast freundschaftlichen Wortwechsel aufgelegt, einfach stimmig. Wir bestellen zweimal Schweizer Wurstsalat, bekommen diesen binnen 10 Minuten serviert, frisch angerichtet, mit einem Salat bunt garniert, reichlich Zwiebeln und Schnittkäse dazu und exakt die richtige Mischung aus Wasser, Öl und Essig. Einfach ein Gedicht von einem Schweizer Wurstsalat, wie er in Bayern gewohnt ist und kredenzt wird. Also erstklassig. Dazu gibt es jeweils 4 winzige Scheibchen Weißbrot, das auf beiden Seiten bereits angetrocknet ist, mit dem kurzem Hinweis des jungen Kellners: "Brot ist aus". Der gesamte Biergarten ist bis auf den letzten Tisch bereits für die Zeit ab 18 Uhr reserviert. Da denke ich mir, was machen die am Abend, wenn das Hauptpublikum kommt? Na ja, die halten das Brot jetzt am Nachmittag für ihre Hausgäste am Abend zurück. Kaum ist der Wurstsalat auf dem Tisch, werden wir von einem Heer Fliegen überfallen, was uns natürlich zu einer einigermaßen getriebenen Eile beim Verzehr anspornt. Gut gegessen und gut gelaunt fragen wir den älteren Kellner nach der Herkunft der vielen Fliegen. "Ja mei, da Bauernhof nehm o", sagt er und zeigt auf ein paar Kühe nebenan auf der Wiese.
