Berger's Diner & Sportsbar — Restaurant in Grafenwöhr

I saw an ad about this place and by the looks of the decor, and because I love burgers, I wanted to investigate. The establishment looked exactly like the ad and looked super clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I ordered some food. This is where it all went south.

My girlfriend and I know fresh food because we make fresh food at home. From the first bite, we knew our food was not fresh. The Philly cheese steak was an abomination. The bun was stale and chewy because it was microwaved. The cheese sauce replaced any real cheese, the meat was thick, gummy… never mind

My Grand Canyon burger also failed. The menu listed two slices of cheddar cheese on the burgers . I did not get even one. The meat also had a gummy texture and was not even warm.

We ordered other food items but I’m not going to mention them.

I’m being kind but also being honest. We went with high expectations but left sadly disappointed and 70€...

My family and I have been here a few times and the food is always hit or miss. The macaroni and cheese has no flavor, the “nachos and cheese” seems to be some cheese type of tortilla chips with a liens melted string cheese and a side of some kind of “cheese” sauce. You can look at the picture and see what i mean. The burgers would be good if they weren’t raw. Both times we just took our burgers to go and finished cooking then at home so we didn’t have to send them back to the kitchen. The two things that’s been consistently good were the fries and the drinks! The service is always pleasant as well.

Update: We went back again and this time had a better experience with the food. We ordered garlic Parmesan wings (cooked to perfection), chicken sandwich and French fries with cheese sauce, cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, cheese bread, and mozzarella sticks. And of course the service was...

Today was my first time eating and drinking at Berger's and I will definitely be back. I had the Grim Reaper burger, chili cheese fries, and two cocktails. The food was amazing. As a person, who doesn't like the large amounts of sauce some restaurants put on their burgers, I was pleased to find out that at Berger's the sauce amount on burgers is much better balanced. The Piña Colada was the best one I've had. The staff at Berger's is very friendly, forthcoming, and happy. I believe it was the boss, who told me they also offer a shuttle service - which is unique - as well as delivery service. You can also play pool, dart, or follow some sport matches on the screens there. Overall a great experience...
