There are two ways to get to the top of the Alps that is a border between Austria and Germany named,,Zugspitze”. First and easy way is to take the cable car. Back then we paid in total 40 Euros for two trips (going to the top and coming back). However, there is also another possibility if you are not willing to pay the amount. In this case, you need to bring material required for hiking. I haven’t tried it myself but there is surely a route that is good for hiking. Once you get to the top, you can collect Zugspitze coin as a souvenir. But for that you need to insert one Euro coin. There is also a possibility to take a photo by clicking a red button somewhere near the panaroma lounge which can be downloaded from internet. However, if you have a very good camera don’t waste time on that. The picture quality was very bad. You can also climb to the top near the cross line.( it is not recommended for inexperienced climber. The people who does that have lots of years climbing experience. They are also prepared with better shoes...

That said, the infrastructure at Zugspitze is excellent. Everything is well-signposted, and there is plenty of information available. The food is also amazing, with one or two main restaurants offering a great variety of traditional German cuisine, several types of beer, and a selection of wines. Once you arrive at the base station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, it’s just about a 5-minute walk to the train or cable car station that starts the ascent. There are multiple options to reach the summit or explore other parts of the mountain. In our case, we chose to go all the way to the top, finishing the journey with a cable car ride that offered...

The freshly made waffles were delicious. But the guy behind the cash register seriously needs another job. My own order (2 cokes and 2 waffles) he got wrong as well as the couple behind me (a coke, a beer and two waffles). Was even mad that we pointed it out. When paying we wanted to pay by card and the gentleman really rolled his eyes! Think I know why (and why the portable device is hidden), there was a jar of coins in the window, the gentleman expects a tip. After that he also wants my card so that he can hold it on the device himself. I don't like that. I am quite capable of holding my card briefly on the screen of the device myself. Not everyone has to hold my card with their dirty hands. Eew. Waffle = €5,50 (one portion of waffles is actually two waffles - just so you know)....
