China Restaurant Kung Fu Haus — Restaurant in Grenzach-Wyhlen

Confusing menu, hardly any choice for vegetarians (we have to order 2x same starter, and only one choice of veggy main). They make you spend on items you don’t want, you cant order what you want as its linked to main dishes (for example, if you order a main dish you can get a small cup of noodle or rice for 2.80, but if you order it standalone then its 5.60). Its not about price but I don't understand the logic behind. We only had one choice of vegetarian main that day that we ordered. Now small kid wants more noodles so should I order one more main which the kid will not touch and we didn't like it either (as half plate already on the table). They wanted me to order more dishes, didn't had any choice, we literally tasted all veg food in the menu and two dessert. Very money minded business. Average taste and service. Bit grumpy staff, they can't tolerate 10 months old pulling table cloth (didn't say anything but you see in the face). We also felt there were few things complementary for other customers (saw with cheque) but it was never served to us!!! We were not happy (seen most of restaurant in this area in last 7 years, others are better) but still left some tip as good customer. FYI they don’t accept credit cards. Also, they say in website they speak English - but...

Beside from a sub-standard food. This restaurant has no sympathy to family with children. We dined in, with our 2 year old daughter, not 3 not 4 not 5. and at this very age, they run, jump and make noise randomly. and the more you control or reprimand them, the more they do it further. They asked us to remove her shoes , so we did. and instead of providing us hospitality, they kept on being impolite and never understood the behaviour of a 2yo child. As if the restaurant is a high class fine dining one but it's not , its a lousy no customer restaurant. and it will never shame us if we don't speak german, so that's how you treat your customer who doesn't speak the language? FYI we are currently in B2 level of german, and both passed B1 Deutsch Prüfung that's how we became permanent residents in Switzerland. What's shameful is the restaurant's tasteless food and lame service. They don't speak english as well, what an embarrasment. This restaurant has no clue what a restaurant is. Waste of time and money. War heute mit meiner Bekannten da zum Essen. Der erste Eindruck vom Ambiente war nicht gut. Eine Mischung aus alten Bauernstubenmöbeln mit lieblos asiatischer Deko und Einzelmöbelstücken zusammengestellten Gastraum. Hätte mich schon stutzig machen sollen und zur Umkehr bewegen. War leider zu hungrig und wir sind geblieben. Da es an der Schweizer Grenze liegt sind die Preise entsprechend. Wäre kein Problem wenn die Qualität des Essens stimmen würde.Speisekarte ungepflegt und lieblos abgegriffen. Vorspeise Frühlingsrollen und Pekingsuppe waren ok. HAUPTSPEISEN von der Mittagskarte hatten wir Knusprige Ente mit etwas Gemüse in nicht definierbarer merkwürdig schmeckender Soße weit entfernt von guter Asiatischer Küche. Mein Hauptgerich war Reis mit Rindfleisch Gemüse Soße so man dies so bezeichnen kann. Geschmacklich undeffinierbar und sehr fefthaltig für mich eine absolute Geschmackskatastrophe. Der Reis statt duftend und locker leider klebrig und nichtssagend. Das Rindfleisch zäh wie Kaugummi.Bin 65 Jahre und habe noch nie so schlecht asiatisch gegessen. Obwohl die Bedienung meinen Teller gesehen hat und auf Nachfrage von mir gesagt bekam das es nicht schmeckt musste es bezahlt werden. Sollte der Koch oder Inhaber des Kung Fu mal in meine Region an den Bodensee kommen darf er sich gerne bei mir melden dann nehme ich ihn mal in asiatische Lokale mit damit er mal sieht wie es schmecken sollte. Die asiatischer Küche ist so herrlich und zum Glück sind solche Restaurants wie das Kung Fu hier die Ausnahme. Normal sind die Asiaten stolz auf Ihre Essenskultur und kochen mit Herz und Liebe.
