Colombo 7 — Restaurant in GVV Hexental

We visited Colombo 7 restaurant while we were on holiday in Germany. It's the finest Sri Lankan authentic cuisine we've had. The food was delicious and cooked for perfection. Sammy , Chris and Ali are great chefs and Marianne and front staff were friendly and efficient in their service. The atmosphere was so nice and the view was breathtaking. Anyone who visit Black Forest shouldn't miss going to Colombo 7 Sri Lankan cafe and restaurant in Wittnau.

This Sri-Lankan bistro offers a refreshing tasting experience which is rare in this part of the world at this point in time. We tried several dishes that were all well spiced with probably traditional ingredients (we're no experts there). Prices are moderately higher than a typical central Freiburg diner, as expected in any suburban neighborhood. So I visited this restaurant with lot of expectations but they disappointed us on all factors. We ordered 2 dosas , first of all they were not dosa at all, secondly the food was cold as if it was prepared long back. For sambar they gave some gravy full of carrots.
