This is a most surprising hotel, or perhaps better named Bed and Breakfast. I think it has at least 24 rooms, all of which have been refurbished, actually unbelievably modernized except for the furniture. Yes, except for the furniture. But the bathroom is the story, really. Groehe fixtures in both the shower which has a rain shower and a low level shower, and a two person soaking tub actually big enough for two, all spic and span and brand new. There were plenty of towels, and the heat was adjustable. ( Room 16).||The rest of the furniture was kind of Sauerland normal, which means wooden and almost antique, kind of what you might have found in your Mom's Sauerland dining room and bedroom. There is internet access, but no elevator, so you need to lug your stuff up several fairly steep staircases or they will do this for you.||The room was very quiet, easy to control the heat, and we willl definitely stay there again. Breakfast was quite wonderful, with freshly cooked to order eggs, cold cuts, fresh fruit, lots of rolls and jelly, and yogurt and coffee, all included in the 119 Euro price for the room.||Grounds are quite lovely, and there is a really top notch restaurant on site, as well as a newly remodeled and quite nice bar with single malts to...

Vorab: Viele Jahre sind wir gerne ins Dresel Essen gegangen. Die Gerichte für Personen mit normalen Wünschen sind immer top. Man schmeckt, wie frisch das Essen zubereitet wird und ich habe absolut nichts daran auszusetzen.||||Vor einigen Monaten allerdings habe ich meine Ernährung auf Vegan umgestellt. Da es nicht immer ganz einfach ist in Restaurants etwas nach diesen Umständen zu finden, haben wir vorher angerufen und gefragt wie es mit veganen Gerichten steht. Uns wurde versichert, dass es immer mind. 5-6 vegane Gerichte auf der Karte gäbe. ||Dort angekommen leider eine große Enttäuschung. Ein einziges Gericht - Paprikaschoten mit Soja und Currykartoffeln- war zu finden. Auch nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen beim Kellner (es könnte ja sein das man gewisse Soßen etc. weglässt oder abändert um ein Gericht vegan zu halten) wurde mir versichert das dies das einzige vegane Gericht sei. Es wäre schön gewesen, etwas Initiative zu zeigen und sich wenigsten in der Küche zu vergewissern ob es nicht noch andere Möglichkeiten gibt. Der Kellner hat allerdings wenig Interesse daran gezeigt. Insgesamt war die Karte in Bezug auf Allergene sehr unübersichtlich. ||Da mir also keine Wahl geblieben ist, habe ich das für mich einzig mögliche Gericht bestellt. Ich war etwas enttäuscht darüber. Es hat nicht schlecht geschmeckt, aber leider auch so gar nicht dem Dresel-Niveau entsprechend welches ich gewohnt bin, wo es doch so leckere vegane Rezepte gibt. ||||Natürlich ist es nicht möglich immer alle Ernährungsformen der Kunden abzudecken, aber über eine Auswahl aus 2-3 leckeren Gerichten hätte ich mich schon gefreut, zumal ich mich sogar vorher erkundigt habe und mir versichert wurde es gäbe genüg Auswahl. Höchstwahrscheinlich wurde hier vegetarisch mit vegan verwechselt, vegetarische Gerichte waren zahlreicher vorhanden und gekennzeichnet. Gerade in der heutigen Zeit, wo gesunde- und tiergerechte Ernährung immer größer geschrieben wird, sollte meiner Meinung nach das Ein oder Andere Gericht zur Verfügung stehen.||||Schade. Ich habe das Dresel immer gerne besucht und für leckeres Essen auch gerne mehr bezahlt. Allerdings sehe ich in Zukunft keinen Grund mehr dazu, für eine Auswahl an einem Gericht, welches nichtmal besonders...
