I recently had the pleasure of dining at Food Garden, an Indian-Pakistani style restaurant that truly lives up to its name. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and positivity that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Ambiance: The restaurant’s décor is a perfect blend of traditional elegance and modern comfort. Soft, ambient lighting complements the rich hues of the tasteful decor, creating an inviting and relaxed environment. The subtle melodies of desi music playing in the background added an extra touch of authenticity and charm.

Service: The service at Spice & Harmony is nothing short of exemplary. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and were attentive throughout the evening. Their knowledge about the menu and willingness to accommodate dietary preferences made us feel truly valued and cared for.

ALERT for parents !! There a playground just outside of the restaurant where your kids can enjoy playing in the sand that is completely secluded and safe from outside traffic.

Food: The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. We started with the mixed platter of appetizers, featuring perfectly spiced samosas and melt-in-your-mouth chicken tikka. The richness of the spices was evident in every bite, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs.

For the main course, we indulged in the Butter Chicken and the Palak Paneer. The Butter Chicken was a symphony of creamy, tangy, and mildly spicy flavors, with tender pieces of chicken cooked to perfection. The chicken Biryani was an aromatic delight, with each grain of rice infused with a medley of spices and tender lamb pieces that were succulent and flavorful.

We also tried the Dal Makhani, which was a revelation in terms of texture and taste – creamy, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The freshly baked garlic naan and fluffy basmati rice were the perfect accompaniments to our meal.

Desserts: No meal at Spice & Harmony would be complete without indulging in their exquisite desserts. The Gulab Jamun was a highlight – soft, syrupy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The Kulfi, served in traditional clay pots, was a delightful end to our meal, with its creamy texture and authentic flavors.

Wir haben den Lieferservice in Anspruch genommen und vorab via Paypal bezahlt, was sich letztlich als großer Fehler erwiesen hat. Leider erhielten wir nämlich nicht die Speisen, die wir bestellt hatten. Als ich anrief und darauf aufmerksam machte, wurde mir in einem äußerst unfreundlichen Ton begegnet, dass meine Bestellung mangels verfügbarer Zutaten nicht hätte zubereitet werden können, weshalb man mir etwas Anderes geliefert habe. Als ich entgegnete, dass mir ungefragt (!) ein alternatives Gericht zubereitet wurde, das Zutaten beinhalte, die ich überhaupt nicht esse, wurde mir wortwörtlich geantwortet, dass ich mit dem Essen zufrieden sein solle, was ich erhalten habe. Die Zutaten für das ursprünglich gewählte Gericht seien nun mal leer und man könne sie schließlich nicht herbeizaubern. Anschließend wurde das Telefonat einfach beendet.

Einen solch unverschämten Umgang mit zahlenden Gästen habe ich in dieser Form auch noch nicht erlebt.

Leider hört und liest man immer wieder, dass dieser Gastronom gegenüber seinen Gästen durch inakzeptable Verhaltensweisen und Äußerungen in Erscheinung tritt. Ich rate daher grundsätzlich davon ab, ihn zu unterstützen. Zumindest sollte man jedoch bei Lieferungen keineswegs bereits im...

Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vor zwei Wochen hatten wird zum 88-ährigen Geburtstag meiner Mutter einen Tisch reserviert. Optimal war schon, dass dies online möglich war. Vor Ort wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Senioren wollten gerne indisch, aber keinesfalls ein scharfes Gericht essen. Wir bekamen vom Kellner eine freundliche Beratung, welche Gerichte nicht scharf sind. Anfang bekamen wir ein Amuse-Gueule, bestehen aus Naan Brot und zwei Saucen. Die Gerichte wurden zeitgleich für alle serviert. Alles war, wie versprochen, nicht scharf und sehr lecker. Auch das Handwerk stimmte: die Saucen hatten die richtige Konsistenz, um mit dem Reis oder dem Naan Brot gegessen zu werden. Das Hühnchen war in allen Gerichten auf den Punkt gegart. Ein Gericht wurde sogar noch brutzelnd in einem Pfännchen gereicht - da macht Essen Spaß!
