A hidden gem in Darmstadt. Definitely for whiskey lovers. This used to be a store where we always bought that special bottle of whisky. Back then, we always saw their passion for it — whether we were just getting a bottle or two, Chris always took the time to walk us through the different bottles. We were thrilled that post-pandemic, we finally got to try their food!

We took both set menus and had a good comparison of all 8 types of whisky. Now what I find really nice about their approach is that they put the whisky selection at the center of it all because after all, it is a whisky place. Chef Chris creates a menu based on the liquor (versus the other way around / with most restaurants and wine pairings for example) and every dish is so well thought of. What’s great about the experience is that Marion also details facts about the distillery, the bottle and the thought process around Chef Chris’s dishes.

There was a good variety in tasting flavours and all the dishes “sang together” as if in a choir.

We came out of this restaurant truly happy with our experience. Definitely recommending this to friends! Would most definitely...

Decorated nice, but simple. Very clean inside with the smallest of gardens outside. A must for Whisky lovers! The owner explains the whisky and is happy to talk whisky or stories to the customers. We went on Haggis night but because of the heat we opted for the snack menu.... and ordered all of them! The olives in whisky were lovely. We might have missed out... but what we ate we enjoyed. As a gin lover, I did enjoy the special pink gin. But I would have preferred a gin glass, rather than a wine glass. Music or bagpipes or something would have helped the atmosphere inside which was quiet, even though it was quite busy. This time we didn't drink whisky... Next time we will! If you go there with a free drink voucher make sure you tell the staff at the start as it is only for a...

Went there for a dinner event paired with differnet gins. It Was a blast! Mr Pepper and his wife really have passion for nice drinks combined with great food and its great listening to teuer ideas and stories to the differnet spirits (Gin in my case)

We had a 4 course meal and 5 gins to pair to it. All of the food courses were exceptionally well paired to the subtle flavors of the different drinks with some wild combinations in the end (salty ice with sweet Apple crumble with a twist)

Seating was close but comfortable and the interior was very comforting and had a nice atmospheare.

Tl;dr: great Team with lots of passion and experience, awesome pairing of the flavors in the gin Event, can...

Was das bedeutet?
