Shiraz Restaurant — Restaurant in Hesse

My husband took me to this restaurant for my birthday dinner , I had an awfulll dinner at my happy day and regreted going there.. This one is a precise review , I hope it help the owners to improve their food quality. 1- Ambiance is nice but its a small place and thats a big no for me . 2- No parking place is available. 3-Here comes the food , We ordered "Sambose" as a starter but the thing we recieve was some spinich with mushrooms bit sticky type of batter rolled in a thin crispy stuff which was fried in I don't know which oil it was smelling bad. 4- Salad , In the name of salad , you will get lots and lots of ice-berg leaves with 2 or 3 slices of carrot , same quantity of olives amd cherry tomatoes sprinkled with a tangy sauce. 5- Here comes the main course , we ordered something spicy in chicken and my husband ordered same thing in lamb meat , but when the food was served the look of those dish were telling all the story, it was not at all spicy , 3 chicken leg piece covered with a sauce and lots n lots of mushrooms , I could not ate that therefore we asked for the packing, next day when I ate that food I witnessed a hair in my food I almost puked. One more thing the chicken leg's skin was not removed properly. 6- Lamb curry was ordered by my husband and his expression was "Naaayyyy" means he didn't like it , it was the same gravy only meat was change. They offered us a sweet dish because according to them something went wrong with the order and to be honest that dessert was a nightmare , pathetic!! We payed 70 euro for all this stuff..My birthday happiness was totallly spoiled, never going there again!!! P.S Food that look gorgeous must taste...

While the food is good, the restaurant is stupidly expensive! The prices for the side dishes are just criminal! €7 for yogurt, and if you order for delivery the yogurt is €9!!!!!! What kind of cucumber and yogurt are they using to justify this price! Yogurt is a staple with Persian food, I can’t remember a meal without yogurt on the side, because it’s how you are supposed to eat Persian food, yet they charge you €7 for something that is a must to have!

And the Shirai salat costing close to €10!?? As much as a main course? I would understand if the salad was enough for 4 people but it’s barely enough for 1! And they give you bread with it for some reason, which they obviously charge for. Who has salad with bread?

Wir waren Im Januar 2025 das erste mal mit meinen Eltern beim Shiraz.

Wir wurden direkt an unseren Tisch geführt der sich leider in einem Bereich des Restaurants befindet das über einer Garage ist die somit nicht beheizt ist es wirkt optisch wie ein Wintergarten es waren an den Decken Heizstrahler montiert. Leider ist es überhaupt nicht abgenehm wenn man von unten kalte Füße bekommt und am Kopf mit nem Heizstrahler zu glühen gebracht wird.

Darauf hin haben wir direkt gesagt das wir gerne einen anderen Tisch hätten, als erstes wurden wir abgewiesen es würde keinen anderen Tisch geben. Nachdem wir gesagt haben gut dann gehen wir haöt wo anders Essen hat es dann doch sehr schnell funktioniert uns einen Tisch in einem anderen Bereich des Restaurants zu geben. Dieser Wintergartenbereich ist im Frühjahr/Sommer bestimmt ganz nett aber im Winter zu diesen Preisen eine Frechheit das ist zumidnestens meine Meinung. Dann sollten die Besitzer wirklich darüber nach denken eine ordentliche Heizung nachrüssten zu lassen. Ich möchte da defintiv nicht im Winter sitzten.

Das Essen war wirklich lecker die Portionen waren gut. Besonders der gemischte Vorspeisenteller hat und allen sehr gut gefallen.

Allerdings waren die Speisen kalt also auf die heissen Hauptgerichte bezogen, was nach meiner Meinung daran gelegen hat das die Teller nicht vorgeheizt werden. Das ist ein Problem was sich vermeiden lassen könnte.

Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und nett hat auch alle Gerichte toll erklärt, ich finde es auch schön das die Keller und Kellnerinen ordentlich gekleidet sind.

Die Preise lassen aber zu wünschen übrig. 7,99€ für eine Flasche Wasser 0,7l ist schon heftig, das wurde mir nicht mal in Frankfurt abgezwackt.

Auch die Preise der Speisen sind schon wirklich hoch auch wenn das Essen gut war. Im Grund genommen kostet ein Hauptgericht mindestens plus/minus 25€.

Mein Fazit ist man kann da schon essen gehen und würde auch wieder hin gehen allerdings würde ich wieder auf den Schlemmerblock zurück greifen. An dem Abend hat man auch an anderen Tischen gesehen das viele Personen und Familien mit dem Schlemmerblock...
