Siam — Restaurant in Hesse

Saltiest food I ever tasted...it's not a Thai restaurant but rather mostly Chinese dishes, so don't expect Thai flavors of sour, sweet, and salty in balance, it's only salty you get. I ordered their version of Kung Pao Chicken. While the chicken and vegetables were cooked perfectly however when they hit their salty sauce, it was ruined. They kindly remade it for me and it was the SAME level of saltiness. I ate what didn't hit the salty sauce and left the rest. I swear their sauce tastes like it's made from the pastes you get from the grocery store. So it came time to get my check. It was 17,90 Euro. So I pulled out my Mastercard and the waiter said only cash when bill is below 20 Euro. So my waitress came back because he was annoyed with me. I wanted to make the bill 20 Euro by getting a bottle of water or something. So she brought me water. And I said that if they have a policy about the bill must total 20 Euro to use a credit card that it should be posted. She said that it was on the door in German, but it was NOT posted. Quickly stopped by here for food and it was damn delicious. You can expect to get a healthy variety of veggies, an assortment of meats and a sauce for your lunch plate. The drink menu is simple but easy to understand and has several exotic options from teas, smoothies and coffees. Price ratio is right on spot. 12eur for a meal and a drink. Meals were prepared in no time and you were in and out in about 45 min. One thing that may surprise is that the meals are served as they are ready. So in a larger crowd one may wait for their meal while others already have it. But you can see the meals being prepped in the open kitchen and everything is made fresh to order. So no shananigans there. More than enough seating in and outside of this place.

March 2022 Nothing has changed. Ownership may have changed but the staff is the same and so the food is still incredible. Went there last night and had the mango curry and it was delicious!

Off the beaten track..amongst office buildings,but surrounded by grass & free space..Easy to park. Food typical lekkerer choice of Thai dishes & faire...Staff & service welcoming, informative & willing to cope with those kids choices. My 8 yr old grandkid (vegan) Chose a Thai-salad, she was first surprised the mix was cold except the nicely hidden small spring rolls,but she really enjoyed the varying tastes,saying " Best ever Thai or Chinese".. 3 other small children..cleaned their small plates of rice & Mix from their parents & OMA/OPA Decent footfall of customers,for sitt-in & Takeaway...My Daughter said before Covid, it used to be very busy at Lunch-time..due to,offices & workers from around the district..So seems to have & kept a good...
