We’ve come several times since the ownership and name changed. The first couple times everything remained the same as before and we were super pleased.

Unfortunately, this last visit shifted our view a bit due to several things:

The burritos are smaller. It used to be you’d have trouble finishing one of your didn’t bring your appetite. All of us noticed the were significantly smaller this time. The French toast is a smaller portion as well. It seems the slices of bread used are smaller than what was used before. It was also a bit undercooked compared to the perfection of this dish in the past. Half of the bread and Brötchen we got was stale The menu now states at the bottom that the prices don’t include tip. Now, to an American, this may seem like no big deal. The problem is tipping doesn’t work the same here in Germany as it does in the US. Wait staff is paid fair wages and tips are really an addition based on service. To put this on the front of the menu when normal German restaurants don’t do this feels like purposeful misleading to get those unfamiliar with customs here to tip higher.

Other than these things, the service was still good as usual, the restaurant was still clean and well kept, nice ambiance, and the overall taste of the food was still good. Will still return, but that could change if the portions get any smaller while the prices...

Café Weismann is a real gem in Kaiserslautern. The food is not only delicious but beautifully presented—you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. The French toast is perfectly fluffy, the vegetarian egg burrito is outstanding, and the coffee is top-notch.

The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it a great spot to relax whether you’re starting your day or just taking a break. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and for those of us whose German isn’t the best, they happily speak English and even provide English menus, which makes the experience even more comfortable.

All in all, Café Weismann strikes the perfect balance of great food, great coffee, and great hospitality. Highly...

I reached out to this bakery at the very last minute for a cake, and they went above and beyond! I was panicking because the bakeries in my area were closed, and I had offered to donate a dessert for a school event the next morning. Not only were they able to take my order on short notice, but the cake turned out absolutely delicious and beautifully made. I went with an apple-cinnamon cake at their recommendation. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the quality and service. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again in the future, and based on other reviews, I want to try breakfast here soon—highly...

We came in (family of 4) without a reservation. (We didn't know you needed one, but just so y'all know. It's probably best to get a reservation ahead of time.) They seated up and didn't make a fuss about the lack of reservation. The food was AMAZING. So was the hot chocolate. It does feel like more of an American vibe, but either way. It was great. We didn't have to wait very long to get our food. The service was amazing. The high chair they gave was very clean and very nice too. I highly recommend this place! We will be back!!

Had a great brunch here on a Friday. Very good food and super friendly service. Prices are fair and not expensive. Seating is limited and best to make reservations if you have a big group 4 or more. Parking is also limited and will be packed on the weekends. The only suggestion for the place is to fix their ventilation system for the kitchen area cause the fried smell will stick to your clothes and you can smell it right when you walk in. Overall would definitely come back again.
