Restaurant Mediterran — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

We visited Restaurant Mediteran on Easter Monday, looking for a quick meal. The service was a bit overwhelmed but everything worked out in the end. Due to the holiday, only a small menu was available, so we chose the mixed grill plate and also tried the asparagus soup. Overall, the food tasted good and was reasonably priced, although not outstanding. At the end of the meal, we were offered a complimentary schnapps, which was a nice touch. If you’re looking for excellent Greek food, I would probably recommend going elsewhere, but for a quick meal, Mediteran is perfectly fine. There are also plenty of parking spaces...

The restaurant is simple but well maintained. There is a beautiful terrace overlooking the VFB field. Inside the restaurant, you can smell cigarettes, as the attendant at the counter was smoking. The waiter was friendly and polite. Service is fast. The dishes are well served, but nothing spectacular in flavor. Zuerst einmal das positive... Das Bier war kalt ( das war es dann auch schon an positivem ).

Wir waren eine Gesellschaft von ca. 25 Personen im Nebenzimmer. Servicemitarbeiter hat man selten gesehen. Leider nur 2 Mitarbeiter für das gesamte Lokal und Nebenzimmer.

Vorspeise - gegrillte Peperoni total verkocht. Geschmacklich, na ja. Hauptspeise - Dorfteller, bestand meiner Meinung nach ( ich arbeite in der Gastronomie ) aus TK - Produkten. Das gefüllte Hacksteak war so was von bis zur unkenntlich gebraten. Der Rest des Fleisches war tot gebraten. Der Reis auf dem Teller war z.T. Matsch. Meine Frau hatte ein Hacksteak, welches nach zweimaliger Reklamation ( roh ) zurück ging und sie wurde gebeten sich etwas anderes zu bestellen. Also hatten alle anderen schon gegessen bis das bestellte Essen kam. Sie hatte dann ein Rahmschnitzel, in der Hoffnung dass man daran nicht viel falsch machen kann. Leider kann man.... Kroketten tot frittiert ( hart und z.T. dunkelbraun ). Das Fleisch = tot. Der Rest Geschmacklich, na ja. Es ging leider vielen der Gesellschaft so !!

Wenn ein Gastronom freiwillig 9 Essen nicht abrechnet dann spricht es für sich !!

Schade für die Gastgeber, da es ja nur ein 50er...
