Landgasthof "Altes Stadttor" Kastellaun — Restaurant in Kastellaun

We came on a sathurday with 2 people without reservation for dinner. We were lucky they still had room. Unfortunatly we could not sit outside. At the same time there was a wedding party next to us ( we are very happy for the couple, congratulations) but because it was so full we had our food in about an hour. No compensation, nothing. İf anrestaurant knows this or from what İ read in the reviews if it is busy every time then you should hire more personell since more people served is also more people you can allow to eat. And most of the time they were busy with the people from the wedding party. Which İ also understand because they deserve the best on their day. But this would still not mean other people are also not important to serve. Also the food was brought separatly. İ got my side salad first on the table and 20 minutes later there was the rest. İn any case All food should come together.

We needed a place to stay in Kastellaun and stumbled upon on this place. We noticed the place since it looked charming and it obviously had a very popular restaurant.||||It turned out to be a true gem! The rooms are absolutely charming and full of character from the old building. Both the building and the people were exceptional. Our room in the beautifully restored historic building was welcoming and spacious; both impressive and cozy. The owner who checked us in was a pleasure to work with, and made sure we got a table at their very good and lively restaurant that evening.
