We needed a reasonably priced B&B for 4 nights to stay in whilst visiting family in Korschenbroich.||We booked direct via email and had to ask twice for confirmation of the booking but got there in the end.||Arrived a little earlier than we had told them but they were still more than ready for us (in fact expecting us) with keys in their hands.||The only thing that was a bit of a struggle was the fact that my 85 year old mum had to use the stairs all the time but as they were a single flight only, she managed. Not sure if they have a lift but we were never shown it.||We had 2 double rooms overlooking the back of the hotel gardens and they were ample in size and comfort. Nice en suite with shower, WC, sink. Double wardrobe with plenty hanging space and drawers beneath. TV but unfortunately no telephone - which I particularly could have done with as my mobile was not working.||Very comfy beds, nice warm rooms (but it was 33C outside).||Ample free parking on the forecourt.||Couldn't fault breakfast as there was a lovely choice of cheese, salami, croissants or bread rolls and a boiled egg if you wanted it.||Very nice friendly staff who seemed to speak a variety of languages (including English).||We only used the restaurant once for eating in the evening which was on the Tuesday evening - Schnitzel night - very nice but far too much! I'd also stay away from the one with the cheese sauce as it is a bit overpowering.||Would definitely stay here again as it served its purpose for us - not ideal if you're wanting to travel by train/bus as the nearest train station is probably in Rheydt (but don't quote me on this) and I never saw a bus running through Pesch at all.||Korschenbroich is walkable where there is a small selection of shops -...

Read moreMy niece and I needed somewhere to stay whilst visiting family again and due to me having stayed here before, decided to stay again.||||The room was as I remembered and lovely and clean. It was March when we stayed this time so the weather was a lot colder. The room felt cold initially but soon warmed up when we switched the radiator on. However, the second day when we went out for the day, we came back to find the radiators off. Again the room felt cold and took time to warm up. No shortage of hot water for showers though.||||The hotel seems to have had a revamp in the restaurant with new seating, etc and our room had a new TV. Again, the restaurant is very much on the cold side in the mornings so you need something warm to go down in. Less breakfast selection than last time we stayed but still, enough to have a good breakfast. Restaurant seems to get very busy at night.||||Didn't have to use public transport at all as we were within walking distance of everywhere we needed to get to.||||All in all, a lovely place to rest your head for a couple of nights. Any more than that and you might get bored but it serves its purpose.||||Would not hesitate returning for a...
