Café Azzuro — Restaurant in Leimen

Café Azzuro is located in the Georgi-Marktplatz, in the "downtown" of Leimen. It is more specialized for ice cream than for food. There are normally 10 flavors of ice cream, each scoop is 1 Euro. The spaghetti ice cream will set you back close to 5 Euro, as well as any ice cream shake or sundae speciality (upwards 6 and 7 Euro).

For me the price of the ice cream is disappointing for the quality served. If you sit down to eat ice cream here, plan on spending at least 5 Euro per person. The service is typical for Germany. It will take you about 10 minutes to order something and another 10-15 minutes to pay depending on the number of guests at the café. I recommend paying the waitress as soon as she serves you.

I also recommend getting your ice cream to go in a waffle or in a cup, then sitting down next to the water fountains in the square. This is where you will get the most bang for your buck. All in all, Café Azzuro is not horrible but also...

Der Service ist ja mal miserabel, da die Bedienung darauf bestanden hat, das wir als Gruppe drinnen sitzen dürfen wenn jeder etwas bestelle. Vor allem die Eissorten entsprachen nicht ihrem wahren Geschmack, wie zum Beispiel Schokolade hat dem Geschmack nach nach Wassermelone geschmeckt, was jeder bezeugen kann, auf Grund dessen, dass jeder probiert hat, da wir uns untereinander nicht geglaubt haben. Der Krokantbecher entsprach nicht einem typischen Becher, denn es waren Eissorten im Inhalt, die nicht dazu gepasst haben und am Ende nach abgelaufenen Hustensaft schmeckte.

Dieses Eis-Café ist definitiv nicht...

Gute Lage direkt am Georgi Marktplatz, das Ambiente ist relativ gut mit Blick auf den Georgi Brunnen, das Personal bemüht sich freundlich zu sein, jedoch das Eis ist eine Katastrophe, wir haben 2x innerhalb von 14 Tagen Eis aus der Waffel gegessen. Die Waffeln ( die Einfachen ) andere gab es nicht waren geschmacklich eher ohne Geschmack, das Eis: Vanille und Kokos tropfte schon bevor es überhaupt in der Waffel ankam. Geschmacklich kam das es eher einem no name Produkt vom Discounter gleich. Die mittelgroßen Kugeln sind für 1,50 € maßlos überteuert. Fazit: zum Eis essen kommen wir garantiert nicht...
