Not mexican at all. Don’t be fooled. To have a mexican cola drink doesn’t make you mexican. The flavors weren’t authentic plus is really NOT mexican food. I have been to mexico, I have helped make mexican restaurants around the world. Once was enough. If you don’t know what mexican food is come.... if you have the slightest notion, spare yourself from this experience .
Today I received your answer. Sorry to tell you but first of all, I couldn’t make my comments at the restaurant because it was almost impossible to get someone to pay attention. What I order came wrong they mixed our plates. I am very allergic to a lot of things ,thank God we didn’t get anything with fish or shellfish our my trip would have ended at a hospital. I don’t need spanish speaking people I am fluent in 4 languages. I speak with knowledge because 1st I am a chef, second I grew up in latin America , third my job before coming to live in germany was helping restaurants with their food and menu and local. Your restaurant is beautiful there is no point in arguing that, but it is not authentic, my last trip to mexico included Playa del Carmen, Tolum , Cancun and Ciudad de Mexico, where I had wonderful experience with all sorts of pallets, so really I know what I am talking about. The other problem is your people , ZERO people skills, slow, and don’t pay attention to the costumers. So if your answer is telling me I am being unfair, well let me tell you I had to wait over 45 minutes to get the check and I didn’t walked out without paying, because we couldn’t eat it and we were tired of waiting. So if you really want to have great dishes just tell me and I’ll help you with a few dishes so simple and delicious you are not going to believe your mouth. Sorry for being so honest but I really LOVE Mexican food and a good service and that wasn’t my...
Read moreWe are two American girls who love authentic mexican food so we figured we would give this place a try. We went for the buffet which was our first mistake, but gave us lots of laughs. The buffet was confused. Corn soup next to muesli next to cardboard that resembled beef ribs next to macaroni and cheese next to mini pancakes next to maybe arroz con leche? Continental european breakfast meets rural truck stop grab and go. The buffet lights were impressive at making the food either desert dry or slurpy soggy. The mexican dishes were crafted as if the recipes were passed through 20 kids playing telephone. A very light resemblance, or rather dreams of authentic mexican flavors, but no refried beans, and no cheese in sight. The sour cream, raspberry juice, and coffee were actually phenomenal however. Big drink energy here. I thought I love all churros like my first born child but the churros that we presented were more like my second child. Cold, bland, soft. And Paired with “hibiscus milk” which was an interesting pink yogurt. I had some of that for dessert but also got a bowl of fruit ring cereal and put some alcohol-tasting chocolate sauce on top. Finished it off with some packaged chocolate mini muffins. The chocolate chips in the palm oil muffins had a very light chocolate flavor like I was drinking a chocolate La Croix. I suggest ordering something off the menu next time, so you can be sure the food is freshly prepared with the ingredients you are looking for, because the buffet will just tease ya. Leave your Spanish at home. The decor is...
Read moreI recently visited the restaurant on my first ever visit to Leipzig. Me and my bud went there on a Tuesday, which happened to be buffet night. There were a number of things wrong with it:
If you think I'm being harsh, we overheard other customers commenting the exact same.
Since I've only mentioned the negatives, here's the positives: the drinks tasted quite nice (we had the Espitas originals Fresa and Margarita) and the decor looked nice.
The biggest disappoint was, however, the issue with the postcard. At the end of the meal, you're allowed to fill up a postcard and mail it to a friend (Germanly only). The staff will take care of it for you, and within a few days it should reach the destination. It's a good deal for them since it works as free advertising. Two weeks passed, and my friend in Frankfurt still hasn't gotten his card. I'm inclined to assume they never sent it to begin with.
I don't recommend...
