McDonald's — Restaurant in Lindau (Bodensee)

Standard McDonald’s restaurant with McCafe, large outdoor area and plenty of parking. This location is frequented by travelers and one-time visitors and is one of the locations with the most sales due to vicinity to highway and main north-south border crossing from Germany to Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Italy. Despite some renovations, extensions and updates the restaurant is also on the outdated path of the lifecycle. After the ownership was transferred some time ago the mostly new team is lacking the same professionalism and commitment as the original team. The service is ok, but since most visitors are one-time only visitors, the overall willingness to go the extra mile is very limited. Also the quality of the food is on the lower side of the expected range. I had a wrap menu with salad and drink. The preparation of the food items clearly shows the emphasis on speed and not on quality and craftsmanship. Also the food items in the salad were served without further care on quality or size of the chunks. I got the inner bitter parts of the greens as well as two big chunks of a rather crude cucumber only. Also the tomato was cut weirdly. The prize, quality and also commitment to serve has clearly taken the wrong turn. But I guess there is still money to squeeze out from this location due to the high frequency of first and most likely last time visitors. McDonalds Filiale in Lindau wurde angefahren um nach langer Zeit mal wieder was vom McDonald’s zu essen da das Kind unbedingt was wollte…..

Im Nachhinein hätten wir es lassen sollen…,

Wir hatten verschiedene Menüs.

Die bei den Menüs enthaltenen Pommes 🍟 waren lau bzw. kalt und somit labberig. Mit den sonst wirklich sehr guten Pommes von McDonalds hatte das nichts zu tun!

Die Cheeseburger und Chickenburger waren ebenfalls nur lau und somit gerade noch genießbar.

Für diese Preise die zwischenzeitlich für die Produkte aufgerufen werden darf man warmes Essen erwarten. Zudem stellt man sich die Frage, ob die Portionen immer kleiner werden…,

Es sollte eventuell wieder mehr Geld in Personal investiert werden anstatt immer mehr Bestell-Terminals zu montieren - eventuell wäre dann auch wieder ein besserer Service möglich!

Das Einzige was an der Bestellung in Ordnung war und gut war, waren die Getränke!

Der Innenbereich des Restaurants war überwiegend sauber.

Die Sanitäranlagen könnten sauberer sein bzw bedürfen einer häufigeren Reinigung!!!

Der überdachte Aussenbereich ist ebenfalls angenehm und lädt zum gemütlichen Sitzen ein.

Dies ist im Sommer bzw. bei Sonnenschein sicherlich eine super Sache, mit den Produkten vom McCafé.

Das McCafé ist ebenfalls im Restaurant integriert. Die Auswahl an Kuchen und Kaffee ist groß und identisch wie in allen McCafés.

Auf dem Parkplatz wurden die Parkplätze der E-Ladesäule durch „normale“ Autos belegt - hier findet / fand KEINE Kontrolle statt….

Wir mussten erst mal einen Parker auffordern den Platz frei zu machen, dass wir tanken konnten….

Hier sollte auch tatsächlich - wie auf den Schildern angedroht - nach einer Stunde abgeschleppt werden bzw. Nicht-E-Fahrzeuge sofort abgeschleppt werden!!! Immerhin war der Parkplatz halb leer!!! Bei Behindertenparkplätzen wird ja auch abgeschleppt.

Summa summarum leider ein Reinfall der Besuch, da es auf dem Parkplatz mit dem „Ärger“ schon losging und mit dem lauwarmen fast schon kalten Essen weiterging - bei diesen Preisen ein Unding.

Bei der Gesamtsumme hätte man auch richtig essen gehen können, Vorteile…

heißes Essen gesundes Essen im Verhältnis günstigeres Essen besserer Service saubere...

The food is good, typical for McDonald's. The employees in Drive-in are extremely unfriendly: feels like they're in a hurry even in the middle of a weekend, when there is no queue. They hear the order incorrectly, pick almost random options right away without trying to understand, what's being said, correcting it back and forth and then not even showing, what you've ordered, leading to a "surprise", when you receive your receipt (and when it's too late to change anything).
