Café Olivia — Restaurant in Lohmar

May 2025: Not worth the risk of going to a cafe in town as there's the risk of forgetting to display the parking disc that attracts a 20 Euro fine, would rather waste fuel driving to a cafe in the countryside where there isn't penalties for parking. It would be nice if they gave a free parking voucher to guests upon entering the cafe to remind them to put it on the car so they avoid getting fines if they forget to use the parking disc. I parked there for only 1 hour and ordered 18 Euro of food and coffee forgot to show my parking disc in the parking lot and got fined 20 Euro by the unforgiving council, even though it was my first offence. Glad i didn't have spare change to give a tip this time otherwise i would have felt like i'd been robbed even even more. So i arrived there at 11:43am according to my cafe receipt and left at 12:43pm, and the earliest i could have parked at that parking lot was 9am with 2 hours free parking, so with a fine of 20 Euro that was given at 12:16pm they effectively charged me 20 Euro for parking for 1 hour and 16 minutes from 11am until 12:16pm, that's really cruel, I won't be back dinning anywhere where there's only a parking disc parking lot nearby unless things change or someone forces me to go as this experience ruined the atmosphere and my perception of the area as a safe place to contribute to local businesses. I reported the incident to Lohmar Stadthaus before reluctantly paying the fine but they were unforgiving. In other parts of the world they have 2 hour parking signs and instead of collective punishment wasting the time of every person who wants to be a customer by making them put a parking disc on their dashboard and adding the current time rounded to the nearest half an hour, the parking collectors use technology to detect how long the vehicles have actually been there and only fine them if they exceed that 2 hour limit, not just fine the vehicle for forgetting to show what time they parked there (should be the job of the traffic infringement officer's technology) even even they didn't park longer than the time limit.

Sept 2024: Wasted time driving here because they're too lazy to update their opening hours on Google Maps to say they're temporarily closed. This isn't the first time this has happened. Most cafes don't temporarily...

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das "Café Olivia" zu besuchen, und ich muss sagen, dass ich absolut begeistert bin von dem großartigen Service, der exquisiten Speiseauswahl und der einladenden Atmosphäre dieses charmanten Cafés.

Schon beim Betreten des Cafés wird man von einer beeindruckend modernen und sauberen Innenausstattung empfangen, die eine entspannte und stilvolle Atmosphäre schafft. Die Liebe zum Detail und das geschmackvolle Design des Cafés zeugen von einer hohen Wertschätzung für das Ambiente und den Komfort der Gäste.

Das Essen im Café Olivia ist ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Ich entschied mich für das Halbe Avocado Lachs Brot mit Honig Senf Soße, und ich war begeistert von der wunderschönen Anrichte auf dem Teller und dem Zusammenspiel der Zutaten. Es ist offensichtlich, dass das Küchenpersonal im Café Olivia echte Meister ihres Handwerks sind und ihre Arbeit mit großer Leidenschaft und Können ausführen. An dieser Stelle möchte ich dem Küchenpersonal meinen aufrichtigen Dank für das hervorragende Essen aussprechen.

Die Kellnerin, die uns bediente, war unglaublich nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Sie sorgte dafür, dass wir uns während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts wohl und willkommen fühlten. Ihre Empfehlungen waren sehr hilfreich und trugen zu einem rundum gelungenen Café-Besuch bei.

Neben den köstlichen Kaffeevariationen bietet das Café Olivia auch eine große Auswahl an Tees und anderen Getränken, sodass jeder Gast etwas Passendes für seinen Geschmack findet. Der Besuch im Café Olivia ist ein Genuss für alle Sinne und ein absolutes Muss für jeden, der ein außergewöhnliches Café-Erlebnis sucht.

Zusammenfassend kann ich das Café Olivia wärmstens empfehlen. Die Kombination aus einer modernen und sauberen Innenausstattung, dem hervorragenden Essen und dem freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Personal ist einfach unschlagbar. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch im Café Olivia und werde es definitiv all meinen Freunden und Bekannten...
