You certainly wouldn't recognize the cuisine here as being truly Thai. Or what you expect if you happens to be American or English. There seem to be the same relatively insipid brown sauce regardless of what you ordered. All the appetizers I ordered were fried although it didn't say they were. The service is certainly friendly, looks like a couple that runs the restaurant. It's clearly a local joint as most people live on the housing estate nearby and people are very friendly. The peanut sauce on the Sate was not very recognizable as such lacking in peanut flavor I had a Thai fried chicken dish as they were all fried, with Martin's special sauce on it and to be honest it tasted bland.
