Pizzeria Roma — Restaurant in Mörfelden-Walldorf

I went there a few months ago with my office team and it was decent experience at that time. The food was also fine at that time. The restaurant had a good impression on me at that time. But the second time I went to this restaurant on 21 Aug 2025 around 5:30 P.M, it was a Thursday, we were two people. The restaurant manager showed us a table which was for two people. Even though the table already had an umbrella stand but there was still sunlight coming onto this table so I asked for another table as most of the tables were empty outside and inside as well. He said that he cannot give other tables as they were all reserved. I did not see any reserved tag on the table so I asked if the tables were reserved, why do they not have a reserved tag. He told us he knows his tables are reserved he do not need to put a reserved tag on it. He further said that if we do not like the table we have to wait till another tables with 2 people gets empty. He also added that in 15 minutes all the tables will be occupied. Next 15-20 minutes did go in arguing with him, his wife and the rest of the staff but not all the tables were occupied as he mentioned before. His wife and other restaurant staff are also extremely unpolite and very aggressive in talking. We were asked to leave the restaurant. They might have good food but I personally think it's not a nice customer service and hospitality arguing over not give the empty tables to your frequent customers. Honestly I will never ever go...

Nachdem ich bereits 2019 wenig glücklich war (siehe unten) wollte ich heute (September 2020) der Roma noch eine Chance geben. Ich habe um 20.30 Uhr angerufen und wollte etwas zum liefern bestellen. Mir wurde gesagt, dass das nicht mehr möglich ist, es ginge nur noch Abholung. Wir haben Freitag und die Küche hat lt. Info bis 22 Uhr geöffnet. Finde ich persönlich eher unbefriedigend. Das Essen war schnell fertig und ich habe es abgeholt. Das klappte diesmal alles einwandfrei! Das Essen war auch wirklich sehr lecker! Leider war die Portion aber sehr klein und selbst das Pommesfach in der Transportbox war nur etwa halbvoll. Leider bin ich von der Portion nicht satt geworden.

Mein ganz nüchternes Fazit lautet: Das Essen fand ich top! Die Qualität wirklich gut. Der Service scheint sich verbessert zu haben. Nur hilft es mir persönlich nicht, wenn ich zum zweiten Mal bei zwei Bestellungen hin fahren muss und wenn die Portion mich dann nicht sättigt. Heißt für mich, dass ich dort nicht wieder hin gehen werde. Echt schade bei dem guten Essen.

Ich habe früher öfter bei Roma bestellt und wollte heute wieder dort bestellen. Nachdem ich telefonisch wiederholt nicht durchgekommen war, bin ich vorbei gefahren und bekam als Info, dass ein Bestel-Stopp existierte, weil man nicht mehr nach kam, was auch der Grund sei warum man nicht ans Telefon geht. Für mich als Kunden ist das wenig verständlich. Beim Anruf erhalte ich nur Besetzt oder Frei aber niemand spricht mit mir. Das finde ich unpassend. Und letztendlich ist es meine Zeit die ich am Telefon verbringe um dann wieder und wieder nicht durchzukommen. Nun ist Roma in das neue Gebäude gezogen und ich hatte mich gefreut die Location kennenzulernen. Irritiert hat mich der separate Bestell-/Abholeingang. Habe dort dann bestellt, bei der sehr freundlichen Dame, und bekam die Info, dass die Bestellung 30 Minuten dauert. Also bin ich wieder heim gefahren und bin nach 30 Minuten wieder erschienen. Das Essen war leider noch immer nicht fertig. Also habe ich noch mal 5 Minuten gewartet und bezahlt. Die Damen an der Theke waren sehr freundlich. Ansonsten war ein unheimiches Gewusel hinter der Theke und eine Menge Stress zu spüren. Warum ich persönlich erscheinen musste um zu bestellen, was ja möglich war, aber telefonisch nicht, ist mir unverständlich. Insgesamt hat mir das Ambiente überhaupt nicht gefallen. Ich kam mir vor wie bei Vapiano. Anstehen, bestellen, lange warten, wieder anstehen, warten, bezahlen. Das Essen war qualitativ absolut in Ordnung. Das Personal nett aber sehr gestresst und das Drumherum leider alles andere als gemütlich. In Anbetracht der vielen weiteren Pizzerien am Ort werde ich hier so schnell nicht mehr vorbei schauen. Ich finde das wirklich schade, denn ich mochte die Roma immer gern...

Great place. We visited as a family of four staying in a nearby hotel - we didnt expect much but the dishes were perfect. Great pizza, tasty chefs salad, perfectly spicy penne arabiata and one of the best lasagnas we have ever eaten. For dessert we chose the pistachio tiramisu and the chocolate soufflet- both were great (not too sweet - perfectly balanced) The owner is a great energetic person who really takes care of the clients needs and wants. The pretty decor certainly adds to the atmosphere, but a higlight was seeing reusable hand towels in the bathroom - such a great ecological idea ! This is the ideal family-owned restaurant and we hope to visit again...
