Wok of Fame GmbH — Restaurant in Mülheim an der Ruhr

I bought a deal from “Groupon” to try out the 8 courses of Asian Cuisine. It is a super deal that easy to use and you are treat as a regular customer. You just need to pay extra for the drinks but fair enough.

The restaurant is easy to commute by car and many parking space with free of charge. The restaurant is on the second floor and they have a nice terrace.

We are advised to sit indoor with a nice ambient and great temperature. We have order drinks and start the menu following:

Peking soup They served hot and a lot of stuff in it, not only a dead soup. It is flavourful (a bit western flavour in a good way) Fried Spring roll and Wang Tang They served with sweet chilli sauce and I love it. They fried them very well and it was not oily. The snacks taste good like standard DimSum. 3-7 come together with rice Homemade duck with soybean sprouts: chest duck with basic sauce and you can dip with plum sauce. We love this one ! Yummy and duck was tender. Fried beef with onions: Beef is very tender and good seasoning. The menu is very good with rice. Fried shrimp with herbal: shrimp size was unexpected since they were big. This one taste a bit western but still very good. Caramelized pork: Very well done and taste pretty original. It is worth it since this menu difficult to make. It is so good with rice or eat like snack. Chicken in Thai curry: They serve in a wok way not a watery curry. They use chicken tight which I like more than breast. The taste is okay and can be call as Thai. However, it is not authentic Thai and more western style. Dessert: Baked banana with honey and almond Fried banana balls was huge and blend well with vanilla ice cream. I find ice-cream was a bit too little. Overall is fine.

Overall, we are happy about what have we spent and we are technically full and cannot finish everything. The portion is big and food serve fresh. I might find that some cuisine is a bit oily for me. I really like the service that they have a small talk and come to ensure that our needs are meet.

I may come back to visit their Karaoke Night every last Friday of the month. Other menu also...

Wie jedes mal ein gelungenes Essen. Das Wok o Fame ist besonders auffällig in Bezug auf Professionalität und Sauberkeit sowie Umgang mit dem Kunden. Heute waren wir zu dritt Gast im Restaurant kurz nach der Mittagspause und ansonsten war kein Gast zu gegen dennoch wurde eigens für uns ein vollständiges Buffet vorbereitet und bereitgestellt da wir das all you can eat -Angebot wahrgenommen haben. Auch bei einer hohen Besucherzahl wird kein Gast vernachlässigt und regelmäßig der Tisch aufgeräumt um potentiellen weitern Gängen Freiraum zu verschaffen. Die Kellner legen viel Wert auf die Zufriedenheit jedes einzelnen Gast und haben auch keine Scheu sich nach Befinden und Geschmack zu erkundigen. Das Essen an sich ist bei jedem Besuch von überragender Qualität sowohl Abwechslungsreich als auch von der Zubereitung bis hin zum Freiraum zur Kreation eigener Gerichte gibt es keinen Spielraum für negative Bemerkungen. Das Ambiente zeichnet sich durch eine Mischung aus Tradition und Moderne aus. Moderne Einrichtung mit einem Hauch asiatischer Inneneinrichtung ohne dabei ins Kitschige zu geraten....

Jetzt bekommt Wok Of Fame seinen Ruf nach Berühmtheit und Ruhm so richtig weg sauber weg.Komme aus Bochum und gehe jeden Sonntag essen und vorher rufe ich immer an ob es buffet gibt so wie ich es auch diesmal machte.Es wurde mir gesagt ja es giebt ein tisch buffet also ein all you can eat aber nur vom tisch bestellen mit Speisekarte und ich sagte okay dann komme ich gleich vorbei.Komme dort an zeigte mein impfzertifikat und der Chef des Hauses führte mich zu einem Tisch.Ich zog meine Jacke aus und dann kam die Chefin,In einen lauten unangenehmen ton das alle Gäste es hörten"Wie nur eine Person das geht nicht sofort das lokal verlassen".Wie geschrieben ich sagte noch am Telefon ich komme dann gleich vorbei und es stand auch nirgendswo geschrieben nur ab 2 Personen und eine Person alleine geht nicht.Die Gäste schauten mich beschämend an ich fühlte mich total schlecht wegen der blicke der Gäste und ohne ein Wort und zu zögern verlies ich diese Lokalität.Danke dafür wäre so etwas im Bochum passiert hätte ich anders reagiert mit dem Ordnungsamt...
