I love coming here. I've been coming to this restaurant with my family since I was probably about 7 years old, possibly even younger, and it has a staple in our family for good reason. The food here is good and priced fairly. Personally I love the Reibekuchen (either one) and the Mediterranean Flammkuchen. But I have to say, everything here is good (maybe not the steak hahha).

In early summer enjoy Erdbeerbowle or a wonderful assortment of fantastic wines.

As you've guessed, drinks are self service and food is ordered and brought to you. Unlike others, I enjoy the concept and actually it is fairly common for casual restaurants in Germany to use this system.

Finally, the staff here is always very nice. I've never had a rude server here. They are as attentive as they can be given how busy it can get here, and they always greet you with a smile, are open to joking, and can help with any questions about...

wines are quite good. food probably 80% convenience food, meaning: not freshly made. very strange mix of cash on delivery and self service for drinks, and either order at the table or by QR code for the food. Quite confusing concept. Also: if you ask your guests to order by QR code you should offer a local WIFI network. Nope. All seems to be in Romanian hands...the women serving the guests, the men probably working in the wine yard. The cook is probably Romanian, too: The dressing of the rucola salad is in urgent need of olive oil... But at the end: wines are fine. update August 22 2023: its hot today, about 30°C. Positiv: Sehr schön am Rand von Bretzenheim gelegen und gut zu Fuß, mit dem Auto oder auch mit Bus und Tram erreichbar. Auch das Ambiente hat großes Potential.

Negativ: Alle Bereiche werden möglichst mit vielen Gästen besetzt, leider ist jedoch die Organisation in keinster Weise den Anforderungen einer solchen Personenzahl gewachsen. Die Chefin verteilt fleißig ankommende Gäste auf freie Plätze, achtet hierbei offensichtlich nicht auf die Machbarkeit für das Personal. Keine Speisekarten an den Tischen (wer kann und möchte kann die digitale Speisekarte über sein Smartphone aufrufen). Da man vergebens auf Bedienung am Tisch wartet, ist man aber quasi schon auf die Bestellung über die digitale Speisekarte angewiesen. Nach langer Wartezeit, ca. 1 Stunde, kommt dann das erste Gericht. Da am Tisch leider kein Besteck vorhanden ist, steht dieses jedoch so lange auf dem Tisch (15 Min.), bis man die Bedienungen bittet dieses nochmal zu erwärmen. Ein Vorgehen was nicht zu empfehlen ist. Mein Gericht habe ich danach den ganzen Abend nicht mehr wiedergesehen. Nachdem man sich dann Beilagen und ein Hauptgericht am Tisch geteilt hat (das Essen war kalt, da man abermals 15 Min. nach Ankunft dessen auf Besteck warten musste), wurde auf die restlichen Speisen gewartet. Nach fast 2 Stunden waren alle Anwesenden dann auch von alleine satt geworden und wir haben uns entschieden, nicht weiter zu warten und haben uns auf den Heimweg gemacht. Alle anwesenden Bedienungen wurden mehrfach auf das fehlende Essen oder das Besteck hingewiesen, aber darauf gehandelt hat niemand. Das Besteck mussten wir uns selbst holen gehen.
