Restaurant Dany/s, Neu-Ulm — Restaurant in Neu-Ulm

Even though there was a recent bad review we decided to give it a go since the other reviews seemed good. Firstly we could barely find the entrance and walked all around close fences in the back in of the building before locating the stairs and arriving on a terrace leading to the entrance. Upon arrival there was no staff and I had to wait for the one staff member to return to the restaurant. She was nice and gave us a table. At this point there were only 8 other person's in the whole restaurant and we ordered immediately. It took 45 minutes to arrive for two salads which I Germany I would say is extremely slow for food to arrive.. There also was a fly in my drink and the waitress is wearing her face mask under her nose the entire time and kept touching it.. She's clearly trying but in over her head being all alone. Help her! The staff was pretty nice to us, but the food here is pretty mediocre. one of our friends had ordered the flamkuchen and got pretty sick the next morning, making our drive back to the Netherlands absolute agony for him.

The menu uses a lot of AI generated images, which makes it look incredibly tacky. The picture of the kid is especially eerie. His right hand is incredibly misformed, and morphs into what I think is his fork, though it looks more as if he is just playing with strings of mozzarella cheese, which isn't very Hygienic. all whilst the kid himself is staring the menu reader in the eye with a smile that could haunt their dreams.

This might sound nitpicky, but the menu is the first thing people see. Simply seeing these images on the website was an instant turn-off for me. If I was the one picking a restaurant, I would have definitely skipped this one on the basis of that. Luckily for Dany's, and sadly for my sick friend, someone else of our group was in...

We arrived very late and were the only restaurants open until late, which saved us from hungriness. We ordered two amazing burgers, which were very tasty, the meat was perfectly done, and same to say about the pommes. We are very picky with burgers and were very happy with this outcome. We heated the pommes from the leftovers the next day, and guess what? They were still in shape, something that you never have with pommes.

True that the waitress took some time to come to you first, but we saw she was the only one doing everything, so it was ok. She was very friendly, though.
