Restaurant Il Casale — Restaurant in Oberding (VGem)

The food was fine (pizza tasted good but was soggy, and the salad was as expected) but atmosphere not good at all. Here are the issues:

it is the only restaurant that's not a hotel, and all the hotels close their restaurants on Sundays. So... At least three busy airport hotels worth of guests all crammed into one small restaurant = seriously busy, even when they opened at 17:30. We arrived at 6pm and had to wait twenty minutes. terribly understaffed: two waiters for everything, including takeaway orders, but the food did come out quickly perhaps because of the stress, very very very very very poor/abrupt/rude service throughout (though this could also be a Bavarian trait?). Tap water is not available (and we were told this very clearly), and we had issues paying the bill: the change given was for another (higher) bill, and it took three tries to fix it. We ended up giving up once it got into the right ballpark, as people were queuing for our table and it had already taken 15 minutes.

All in all, not relaxing by any stretch of the imagination, and we were relieved to leave. Shame, as just hiring another staff member would fix most...

First, the pizza is very good. The service was not so good. Especially the small guy that has the Napoleon "little man syndrome" he literally looked at himself in the mirror for 5 minutes. I was visiting Buchdorf on a business trip and tried to find a restaurant near the airport and i believed that this place would of been a great place to visit because of the reviews. But that wasnt the case. I was there for a total of about an 1 hr and 45 min. 15 mins waiting on my check. The guy couldn't understand that I have a company cc and i don't have a pin for it, So he would have to enter the information manually... He wanted me to do his job and showd me the cc machine saying "no... no... No" so i had to just pay cash and now have to enter a request for a reimbursement from my company. If like good pizza and bad...

Uns wurde das Restaurant vom Ramada-Hotel empfohlen, da das eigene durch Fachkräftemangel geschlossen hatte. Leider empfanden wir den Restaurantbesuch als enttäuschend. Besonders vor dem Hintergrund des gehobenen Preisniveaus. Ich bestellte mir eine Fischplatte für 28€. Fast alle Fisch - und Meeresfrüchtespeisen schmeckten fad. Nahezu geschmacklos. Darüberhinaus war mein Essen auch nicht warm. Eher lauwarm. Die Scampi schmeckten ,alt‘. Nicht frisch. Lediglich der Tintenfisch schmeckte so wie man es von einem Restaurant erwartet. Abzug gibt es auch beim Salat. Bei dem Preis erwarte ich einen ,Restaurant-Salat‘. Der angerichtete und einfallslose Salat bestand lediglich aus Eisbergsalat mit Tomate, Gurke und Mais was zusammen in etwa die Menge ergibt welche in zwei Hände passt. Ohne Gewürze, Öle, Deko usw. Leider war das Personal in dieser Zeit sehr unaufmerksam. Ich musste den Kellner erst auf den etwas traurigen Salat ansprechen worauf hin ich Öl und Essig bekam. Die Gnocci, die meine Frau bestellte waren aber ok und lecker. Allerdings war auch dieses Gericht nicht richtig warm. Die Salamipizza unserer Tochter, ob Holzofen hin oder her, sollte in einem Restaurant mindestens mit jeder Pizzeria mithalten. Doch leider erwies sich die Pizza als so fettig (natürlich enthält eine Pizza immer Fett) dass dies der einzige Geschmacksträger war. Das Fett war nicht nur gut sichtbar sondern rann regelrecht vom Belag. Pizza geht nun wirklich anders. Alles in allem konnten wir bei unserem Besuch ein stark schwankendes Qualitätsniveau feststellen was auch nicht durch Topservice/-Personal wettgemacht wurde. Wenn man der Ansicht ist ein Restaurantbesuch sollte ein wenig was besonderes sein dann ist man hier falsch. Wer aber nur satt werden will und dem Preise egal sind wird zufrieden nachhause gehen. Natürlich fällt die Bewertung hier etwas negativer aus da aufgrund der höheren Preise auch höhere Erwartungen geweckt werden. Insgesamt haben wir für drei Gerichte ohne Vor-und Nachspeise mit einfachen Getränken (Wasser, Fanta, Bier, usw.) gerundet...
