Café Engels — Restaurant in Papenburg

So I'm from Canada and I'm a afro-American man that went to visit a friend in the Netherlands for my summer vacations. I drove to Papenburg to see the Meyer Werftand after that I passed by this restaurant. The owner didn't even tell me hello and looked somewhat disgusted but greeted my friends, it already started off bad. The waiters, one of them is a brunette with glasses and a blonde girl were REALLY sweet to me and my friends, always asking us if we needed something else. I took the Pizza Taddeo (I think it was called) and it was really good. The main problem was the owner he was looking at me the whole time while whispering to his friends and laughing. Before leaving I told him thank you and the food was really good, he didn't even acknowledge that I existed. He then cornered my friend and talked to him. Later when we left, my friend told me that the owner said "Why are you friends with black people, they're not good people". As long as he stays the owner, I do not recommend any foreigner to go to this place, he'll just insult you with racist words and treat you like you're non existent even though you spend money...

Upon entering, my father and I were ignored by multiple staff members who made direct eye contact. For 15 minutes, we were left sitting unattended while the restaurant was not busy, watching one staff member actively avoid helping us. This treatment felt deliberate. Wir hatten uns dafür entschieden hier zum Abend zu essen, da es einen sehr netten Eindruck machte. Als wir uns draußen einen Platz suchten, wurden wir nicht begrüßt. Das kam mir schon komisch vor. Lag es evtl daran, dass wir ein Hund mit hatten? Egal, es war noch sehr leer und wir suchten uns draußen einen Platz. Mein Kind wollte gerne Pommes haben, da es nicht auf der Karte stand, fragte ich danach. Aber nein, Pommes gibt es dort nicht. Fand ich tatsächlich komisch, weil wenn Familien gewünscht sind, muss man damit rechnen, dass sich Kinder Pommes wünschen. Als wir uns dann dazu entschieden hatten ein anderes Restaurant zu wählen, da das Kind den Rest auf der Karte nicht mochte, gab ich nett die Karten an der Theke zurück und sagte nur: " Es tut mir leid, wir müssen uns etwas anderes suchen", da wurde ich von drei Mitarbeitern einfach doof angeschaut.
