Sapore Mediterraneo — Restaurant in Quickborn

Had to change my car, and thought I wanted to go to McDonald's to get a quick bite, before heading on. But then I saw Sapore right next to them, and thought why not grab a pizza instead.

And thank God I did.

Entered the door, and was hearty welcomed but the staff, ordered my Quatro Formagio, and thought it felt promising and the smell from the kitchen was pounding my appetite in a pleasant manner.

Was served fresh bread and a wonderful aioli to fill the waiting until the pizza was ready.

And then the pizza arrived, and my goodness, the decision to visit Sapore was a good choice. The Quatro Formagio was one of the best I ever had, everything from the crust to the cheeses used was absolutely amazing.

Just passing through this town for an electric vehicle charge and my husband noticed the larger-than-lige ice cream cone statue! We're so glad we popped in for their Italian ice cream to go! What an absolutely gorgeous place,,,, outside terrace with tables filled with relaxed guests enjoying dinner with a cocktail. You enter inside the restaurant and wow.It was gorgeous and elegant but comfy. White linens, but somehow relaxed enough to just enjoy yourself. Beim zweiten Anlauf hat es endlich geklappt. Der erste Versuch gelang nicht wegen Betriebsfreien. Muss auch sein. Wir haben spontan den Entschluss gefasst ins Sapore zu gehen. War eine gute Spontanentscheidung. Herbstliche, gemütliche Dekoration. Nette Bedienung. Zur Überbrückung bis unsere Speisen kamen, wurde uns selbstgemachtes Brot mit einer Trüffel-Creme gereicht. Sehr lecker. Wir bestellten als Vorspeise den Klassiker Vitello Tonato. Gut gemacht. Mit kleinen Anchoas abgerundet. Dazu frittierte Calamretti. Geschmacklich gut, aber etwas zu lange frittiert. Als Hauptgericht dann eine Pizza. 45cm im Durchmesser... Obwohl wir von vornherein vorhatten, diese zu teilen, war uns gleich klar, dass wir diese Ansage nach den Vorspeisen nicht schaffen würden. Sehr gut gemacht und der Boden dünn und nicht durchnässt. Genau richtig. Die gesonderte Weinkarte ist nicht besonders groß, enthält aber ein gute Auswahl von italienischen Weinen. Von Venetien, der Toscana bis hinunter nach Sizilien. Ebenso die Preise. Diese sind alle sehr moderat. Nur knapp das Doppelte des Einkaufpreises. Als Getränke wählten wir einen Prosecco von Teresa Rizzi. Normalerweise gibt es diesen nur als Flasche. Wir fragten nach, ob es möglich wäre, nur zwei Gläser zu bekommen. War kein Problem. Als Starter sehr gut. Er hat eine spezielle fruchtige Note, die an Pfirsich / Aprikose erinnert. Zum Essen wählten wir einen sizilianischen Rotwein. Den Naracu DOC.
