In short : A very interesting and nice restaurant, with good food , fast and friendly service and good prices with a relaxing atmosphere. 5/5. The location is one of the best. It stands higher than the rest of the central square and if you sit on outside , the view is excellent. The outside space is really nice , with plants that create a sense of a garden. It is well protected from the rain with very big and well located “umbrellas” that cover the whole space , so you can stay outside even if it rains. Inside , it had a well-cared decoration with aroma of Greece , with quality materials. The restrooms are brand new and shine , ergonomic , with high quality materials , well located in the back , so you don’t have to go up and down stairs. Visiting the restaurant , you enjoy a warm and very polite and friendly welcome. Next you get a welcome offer of the house , a glass of traditional Greek drink “ouzo” with olives etc , while you wait to be served. The menu was rich and had some interesting choices , it was a creative mix of local and Greek cuisine. The waiting time to be served , the three times we ate there , was below average , you can call it quick+. The food was well prepared , and you could taste the use of top quality ingredients. Top quality meat , fresh vegetables , pure olive oil , well balanced spices and salt , crispy potatoes , rice was boiled correctly. Our picks , Argentina stake , New Zealand lamb , a variety of meats were perfectly cooked and spiced. We also enjoyed our seafood choices. You also have a variety of choices in drinks , beer and wine , of high quality. At the end , we enjoyed the house offer of panacotta , rich and tasty. You can rate this restaurant as very cheap , regarding the location , the atmosphere , the quality of the food and the quality of the service. It is a “must visit” restaurant. I understand that sometimes the place you go is not exactly what you wanted at the time. Ok. Or the menu you see in the entrance (or the internet) is not exactly as you expected. Or the prices were not what you wanted them to be. Or that a dish was not as you would like it to be. Ok. Maybe it happens. So , you can leave if you don’t like the place. You leave if you see the menu does not has what you want. You can leave if you see that some prices you see in the entrance (or the internet) are out of your goal. It is your choice and it is respected. As it is respected that the food you ate was not good. It can happen and you can give a lesser rating. But if instead of going to another place , you stay and then you give the business a 1 or 2 star rating , it is YOUR fault and you are a bad person. Read moreBei unserem letzten Lokalbesuch wurde uns die Einlösung unseres Gutscheins über 50 € (ausgestellt im April 2018) mit der Begründung eines Inhaberwechsels überaus unfreundlich verwehrt. Wieso wird ein Ungültigwerden der registrierten Gutscheine nicht in der örtlichen Tagespresse bekanntgegeben? Laut der Rechnung heißt das Lokal in Regen nunmehr "EL GREKO". Im Internet wird man aber auf "EL GRECO" verwiesen (mit C statt K!). Auch die Beschriftungen an der Außenfassade des Lokals wurden nicht korrigiert. Warum? Müssten die Gutscheine unter dem alten Lokalnamen eingelöst werden? Uns ist der Appetit auf dieses Lokal vergangen.
Antwort zur Antwort des Inhabers: Es entspricht nicht der Wahrheit, dass uns als Entschädigung ein Gutschein ausgestellt wurde. Stattdessen wurden wir sehr unhöflich abgefertigt; ein Kompromiss war Ihrerseits völlig ausgeschlossen. Dies können auch meine vier Begleitpersonen bestätigen. Zur Information: Wir waren am 22. November 2019 abends bei Ihnen beim Essen. Die Rechnung und der alte Gutschein (nicht eingezogen) befinden sich noch bei uns.
