Restaurant Louis II. — Restaurant in Schwangau

This is the BEST RESTAURANT in all of Füssen and in my experience most of Germany. The initial low reviews seem to have been under a completely different ownership or staff.

The chef should be commended for an extremely beautiful, tasty and wonderful meal. I had the duck which was very well seasoned, buttery and melt in your mouth. My partner had the steak that she thoroughly enjoyed as well.

The desserts were also very beautiful and delicious. We had the passion fruit sorbet and Black Forest cake 2.0 they were so beautifully presented we didn’t want to ruin it by eating it but they were just as delicious as they looked.

If the chef has worked at a Michelin star you can tell or is very well on their way to one. Truly impressive experience but also reflects on the local ingredients in a honorable way.

The service was great as well the staff seemed very well trained in etiquette but also super friendly and kind. I also liked their traditional outfits.

My friend found this nice restaurant while we were still visiting Neuschwanstein castle. She said she much enjoyed the food and view here so we went right after.
