Good place good atmosphere, in particular the pub seems come from prohibition period, it's cool and the atmosphere is very relaxing especially if you want to spend a relaxing evening with your partner even if Some table are to small. I went on monday and actually I didn't understand if it's a bar for old people or not (while that evening the average of age was a little high). The staff doesn't speak English but a waitress that has a basic knowledge of it (really basic knowledge). The owner doesn't know any kind of hirony, and I don't know if he is shy or unpleasant. Bytheway the beer is good and cheap (a 33cl blond draught beer costs 2,30€ not so bad considering Germany's prices) and the schnitzel enough good, so it's good place to spend a couple of hour without going in Darmstadt...

Old-school corner pub with a memorable inside and shady outside seating even for the hottest days. The food is good, the portions are generous & reasonably priced, the service is always friendly and usually on point, so nothing to complain. Eigentlich eine Kneipe im traditionellen Sinne. Ab 23:00 Uhr darf geraucht werden. Die Küche ist am 22:00 Uhr geschlossen. Der Biergarten liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße und ist entsprechend laut. Es gibt Decken, falls es abends einmal kühler werden sollte.

Klingt ja jetzt nicht so toll, oder? Warum aber fünf Sterne? Das Essen ist unglaublich gut und unbegreiflich lecker. Beispiele: Der Ziegenkäse in der Gusspfanne ist zum niederknien. Die Leber ist so zart und mild, dass man es kaum glauben mag. Die Pizza reicht jedem Italiener zur Ehre.

Die herausragende Qualität der Küche kann man auch in der Auslastung zu den Stoßzeiten erkennen (was sich aber nie auf die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung und die Qualität der Speisen niederschlägt). Das Publikum ist bis ca. 23:00 Uhr bunt gemischt.
