Bärenschlössle — Restaurant in Stuttgart

It is always a joy to be able to have some hot food right after a nice long nature walk, the location here is perfect, plenty of outdoor seating too. But the food here... I can't say I enjoy it much at all. Added review as to answer the owner's comment :

That is right, I should have been more specific about why I did not enjoy the food, that is because: As other reviewers also have commented, the ingredients were not fresh, most of the food were premade(or at least taste like that)and some dishes were so salty and yet some dishes were tasteless. Flavorful dishes cannot be created just by adding salt though. I love good food but I don't come to the middle of a forest with high hope of having some gourmet food, but at least we would like the food to be somewhat fresh. We always respect a restaurant which can be proud of the food they make for people, could that to be too much a high standard for some...

Hiked the park and right un the middle was this great resting spot. Although we just had a little treat, there is a full restaurant options. I spied on the plates of other patrons and the food looked and smelled fabulous. It was a holiday weekend and the place was packed, however it was very efficient and we only waited in line for only 3-4 min. There was seating up on a deck around the building as well as inside seating and out in the yard surrounding. So never a concern as to finding a place to sit down and enjoy your treat! Bathrooms were plentiful, there was a line for the women's, but it went quickly for as busy as it was. The park walk was splendid, even for early spring I found some blooms and a very interesting water foul that I have never seen...

Food was really good here, but the desserts weren't that impressive. There's a menu written with chalk, and one picks the dishes from the list and orders at one of the 3 counters. The food is ready really fast, so even though there's a big line at the entrance, it doesn't take too long for it to move. There are tables inside on the ground floor, where the food is also ordered, and there's a second floor with more tables. There are also tables on the outside and when the weather is nice there's even some benches and a beer garden. The bathrooms are accessible from the outside, but as these can be used by anyone visiting the Pfaffensee, they tend to be a bit dirty.
